Went to a Kenworth Truck Dealership Service Manager and asked him about used truck flaps. They suggested new ones that come in on their transports. These are tied to the back of the tow vehicle so the 3 or 4 piggybacked new trucks don't get splattered. They normally just trash these flaps like you see in the first picture. I used their wood, made a frame to fit the 24" X 36" flaps and fitted one flap to each side. My 8 to 10 grain lead pellets will usually penetrate the first flap, bounce off the second and fall to the floor between the flaps. My alloy pellets (6.48 gr.) just drop to the floor right in front of the front flap. I am shooting a RWS 34 and a RWS 460. Tape sticks to the mud flaps easily to hold the targets and it gives the targets a firm backing for punching holes.

Neat, and less weight than using electrical putty or whatever they call them (I made one before).

I used the box that a computer monitor, or smaller size LCD TV ships in. I opened up a couple of old phone books and placed them in the center. Left much of the foam packing material on each side. I filled some gaps near the top with some tightly wound magazines. Silent, and nothing can get passed the thick phone books. I just vary the placement of my stick-on dots, and use thick shipping tape to patch the outer cardboard faces when areas get a bit too chewed-up.
