Thermal Scope

Has anyone used a Thermal Scope for hunting.  I know that they are really expensive, but I surely do love hunting rabbits.  I don't have any other hobbies, so I am willing to part with the money.  I just want to know that it is worth while.  So, if anyone has experience hunting with a Thermal Scope I wold like to hear from you.

I have a Pulsar Thermal scope I scan with for coyote hunting and I shoot with night vision, the Thermal for picking up animal is unreal! It is harder to I.D. animals with it than the night vision but they both have there advantage's, the Thermal will not see any brush that is in front of the animal, but if there is snow, rain or fog the Thermal will work a lot better than the NV.

I have thermal.  They are really fun to use and you sure keep stealthy.  They are good in some ways but hard to judge distance and the battery life is terrible.  Also check to make sure it is legal to hunt in your state with them.

The hips are fine. That's the posture for when they're in heat..............or extreme anger. Its hard to differential sometimes

What size battery's do your's take Nick? Mine uses AA's and I use the Kentli battery's and they last a long time. The Kentli's are regulated they charge to over 4 volts and put out a consistent 1.5 volts.

I will look those batteries up.  The rechargables in mine do not last at all, I have to use disposable batteries.  I get maybe 4 hours on 4 batteries I think.

They are quite the enigma. Constantly evolving.

Cougars tends to have much wider hindquarters with lower hanging, saggy frontquarters
