While doing other airgun related activities, I stopped to admire my Sentry's , and realized I need to at lest swap optics as the long one has the lower power short range scope and the short one has the 6-24.
Though it is tempting to get one of these NV sights on the shorter 703 $:-\$

It's growing on me....
Yeah, I traded my way into a 705 HC Deluxe .25....
I might have been one of the ones who, when they first came onto the scene, dubbed them FUGLY and just kinda shoved them aside. But as time passed they began popping up more and more in GTA member's posts.
Well, being the good little airgun adict than I am, when the right opportunity arose, I went for it.
My first thoughts, after I scoped it and added a bipod was... heavy. But then I got to thinking... when was the last time I actually left the bench with an air rifle? Maybe never.... at least long enough ago that I don't remember.
So I aired it up to 3k and loaded a mag of Benjamin 27.8 domes. I figured if it would shoot these, it would shoot most anything I have. Well lookie there... it loves them.
OK, so lets run the gun and see my likes and dislikes...
Likes..
LOUD... call me odd but I like to hear the power of the guns I shoot and this puppy delivers just that. Fortunately I live where gunfire reports are a way of life.
The side lever... smooth and tucks away out of the reach of snags and clumbsy sausage fingers.
Trigger... If a gun has a bad, crunchy, long pull, heavy trigger it distracts my concentration on aiming. This particular gun has none of that. I don't know if the previous owner tinkered with it or not. The gun was originally purchased from Flying Dragon and I don't know if Mike may or may not have done anything with it. All I know is that I don't feel the urge to fool with it at all... works for me.
Accuracy... Well, like I said, it loves the Benjamin 27.8 gr and puts them in a nice 1/2 group at 35 yards.
Power... I think my chrono said I was at 38fpe at the top of the bell. That's plenty to put little holes in paper, ring the steel or give the occaison critter that wanders in front of my scope a bad day.
Shots per fill... 4 7 round mags per fill on high power setting. That's where the gun was set when I got it and I havn't monkied with it yet.
Build quality... I havn't seen anything that made me thiink junk... the gun looks and feels solid. And I do like the thumbhole stock and cheek rest.
Dislikes...
Only one... the magazine.. I don't know if it's typical or it's just this one but, I have to 'wind it up' before I insert the first pellet. If not, the spring is too weak to cycle through all the pellets. I have some feelers out for a few more mags.
Welp... that's about it. All in all, I like the gun so I suppose I'm an official member of the F.U.G.L.Y club.

I was able to contact Milk Mellick at Flying Dragon and I have a mag on the way.
He also gave me a few tips to try on the weak one I have. I would have messed with it sooner but I wasn't sure I could get one if things went bad.
I'll fiddle with it after breakfast...
BTW... Betty Lou came up with a new name for the gun... she said it was "gawdy". Well, at least I know she won't claim this one for her own like she has so many others..

“Gawdy” is the ticket. I never set my pick-up so that it was easy for my wife to drive. That way it was Always My Truck. I like my Sentry. Has a pretty good build.

I took a 3D printed Marauder type single shot tray and with just a little filing, made it fit the 705.
Works perfectly. All I really had to do was file it a bit thinner to fit the mag slot.
I got lucky and, just like the mag, you have to pull the side lever back a tad to get it in and out.
There is a positive 'snap' when it goes into position. It goes in from the right hand side.
