To clarify, I can reassemble the mag but can't get the tension set so it will function.

vaguely recall that you put the spring ends in the guide holes and lift up the revolver cylinder just enough to pass over the catch and wind it up till you go round 4(ish?) times.

Ordered a 702, in .177, from Mike. It's waiting for me to get home, play around with it.

Scott I haven't got the .177 but I've got four of the Sentry's and they're all VERY reliable, they're made excellent and undoubtedly will last a person for a very long time.  I've modified them all too with excellent results, they're made well and aren't over engineered like so many of the bargain guns are in my opinion.  I forgot to say they're also very accurate as well

 I actually like my 702 better it is close to 6" shorter, and I like the square shroud look, the 705's shroud doesn't seem any quieter, than the 702. Awaiting your take on the 702 Scott

That's why I got the 702. I wanted a carbine length gun for hunting, and, I'm not a fan of bullpups.

In my opinion the original 702 bolt was much better than the new ones, it's designed more like the Marauder bolt it.  It's a very smooth action in comparison.  Finding one is the hard part though, they're tough to find.

Got it set up, played around a little, last night. First order of business was the trigger. Polished the internals, installed a pen spring, adjusted sear engagement and modified the safety to match.
Haven't tried much for grouping, as it's just leading in, but, it is showing promise.
Must say, I'm rather impressed, so far. Seems well built. Nice looking, comfortable.
Ran all three mags. No problem with them, at all.
I was kind of surprised to find that it's about as loud as my Blue Streak. From everything I've read, I expected it to be louder than that. Stock has some nice looking grain, as well.

 You got some nice wood on that one for sure! mine in stock form was comparable to a B.S. 650 - 700 fps in .22, I took it up a notch so now it compares with .22 shorts at 40 FPE, my 705 was souped up when I got it 2nd hand and is just as loud as the 703 so the "new look moderator is not any quieter than the original.
 IF used to hunting with a Blue Streak than factory settings should be a walk in the park as a small game rifle.

Got it dialed in, today.  Starting pressure 2500psi. Ending at 1700psi.
I didn't write it all down, but, it starts at 860ish, peaks at 873, and ends at 861. Two rounds into the 8th mag it dropped into the 840's. That's 7 full mags in the sweet spot.

 Sweet ! I did have one issue with mine. a few hundred shots in I lost velocity and it was erratic. There is a plastic part that covers the valve where the valve is, the poppet stem goes through that, it is held in place with a small Philips screw, and had worked it's way loose and was interfering with the hammer strike. Something to snug up or be on the lookout for.

So were the 702s 12FPE rifles.  Could the FPE be tuned up on this non-regulated PCP?

It looks like the 702s are not available on Flyingdragon.  I wonder if we'll see a general lack of air rifle supply over the winter months.  A couple of airgun podcast I've been listening to suggest a lot of stuff isn't going to make it available before the holidays.  I'd thought about a getting 702 to compare to the DAR .177 I just got.  Figured even if I just shot it for a few months there would be a ready market here.

 The early versions came with a restricted transfer port, but also had a larger one in the bag of spare orings, mine is tuned to 40 FPE in .22 shooting a 30 gr slug, or a heavier pellet eg 18 gr. But was low powered to begin with.
 Supply can be an issue now with delayed shipping, and higher demand as of late.
 Another rifle to consider is the Artemis M11 or its little brother, I do see AAF has the 705 in .25 in stock, but not the 702.

Well ... looks like I've got some reading to do !!!  Whoa like 64 pages worth.
I'm joining you due to just acquiring a 705-9K in .22 cal from Travis ( Oldpro )
He stated it had an updated barrel installed, tho yet to shoot it or fool with it what so ever.

For those who have done any In Depth work internally ? ..... Quick ideas or thoughts appreciated.

just sold a 705-9, real tack driver ,177 cal. , best pellet h and n 10.5, one hole at 20yrds, .375 at 45 yrds, 806 fps, tank pressure 2800- 1700. the only thing i didn't like the weight
