The power is set on 3 right now.
I don't mind the weight of this gun. It's not terrible.
It is similar to my Synrod .25, except with much better ergonomics because of the thumbhole stock.
I think it will be a good offhand shooter.
The trigger is meh. I'm going to do the ballpoint pen spring trick like the Airgun Detectives Channel did.
I figure it couldn't hurt.
I have to say this gun is not very quiet out of the box at all. The so called "moderator" it has is not very good. Not "backyard friendly" for sure.
In the future I will look into putting a Donny FL of some sort on it.
Overall though, I'm very happy with the gun so far. I like it!

Robert as many know I'm a big fan of the 705-9 in .22 caliber.  Congrats on that nice gun for sure, I've got a lot of rounds through mine and really enjoy hunting with it, I've made MANY off hand shots with mine since I've had it and it's still amazing to me how well mine shoots.  When I bought mine FDAR still had the REX scope 3-12x and it's on it still, they're a great scope and I've been watching Mikes website in hopes that he'll get more of them sometime.

I just did a quick chrono check to see where the new 705-9K .22 was at speed wise. I don't have a lot of ammo, so I didn't go for a long string just a few shots of each one. The gun is set on 3 right now.

JSB 18.13gr   912fps   33.49 ft lbs

JSB 15.89gr   955fps    32.19 ft lbs

Benji Discovery 14.3gr  995fps   31.44 ft lbs

NSA 17.5gr HP Slug  912fps   32.33 ft lbs

I am very happy with those numbers!
I also changed out the trigger return spring with one from a ballpoint pen. It made a huge difference for the better!
I hope to get out soon and shoot some groups with it. This gun is sweet!

Robert the 705-9's are really plenty powerful right out of the box to hunt with as well as get a lot of usable shots before a refill.

I see why you like these rifles so much now.
I had mine filled to 3000 psi. I put around 18 shots through it and the gauge hardly moved. When I can get out and check the accuracy I will do a shot string and see how many I get. I'm thinking it will be quite good from what little I have seen so far.

I received the Sentry 702-5K today. I like everything about the gun except the bolt action. It's difficult to cock (by that I mean stiff) and the knurled knob hurts my hand.

I had Mike do a tune on it and it shoots the H&N Terminators 16.36 avg 908 fps 29.96 fpe and the H&N Hunters 18.21gr avg 865 fps at 30.26 fpe at the power level 3.

The gun balances really well and the carbine style is perfect for hunting.

On my 705-2 prototype which has the bolt action I used white lithium grease for lubing the hammer after removing the original lube and factory debris from the breech.  It helped considerably for ease of cocking, the original bolt guns were more like the Mrod bolt gun is and they're the best but it's hard to even find one anymore, I was told by a factory rep that they're highly sought after now.  The one that I have I bought from a member and it's very smooth compared to how they are now.  I also have one like you've got too Buddy but haven't addressed that part of the gun yet but will eventually, the only thing that I've done to that gun is open up the ports so far.

Charlie I too am kind of curious myself, I haven't seen anyone do a chrony test on the latest 25's yet that I know of.

Do they still have the automatic safety switch in the trigger group? If they do, the best mod you can do to them is grind that tab down. It will significantly lower cocking effort and reduce/smooth trigger pull

No they don't shane, it's an easy fix for the older ones though.

Santa was good to me.  I got a 705-9 .22 cal for Christmas.  Just need to read the directions, scope it and see what it will do for me.  Mike checked it out at 10 yd. & 2000 Psi.  RWS Hobby @ 903 fps, Crosman HP @ 850, JSB15 gr. @ 859, JSB 18 gr. @ 820.  Has a nice feel to it.

Keith you'll more than likely really like that gun a lot, they come out of the box with really decent power to begin with.

I got a UTG 4-16 x 44 UMOA for mine, but I still need to round up some 11mm scope rings, or make an appliance to adapt the Picatinny ones that I have.  Aired up to 3000psi, on power setting 3, it is pretty quiet.  Perhaps tomorrow I can get it sorted out.

Keith I was lucky enough to get one of the Rex scopes that Mike still had available when I bought my 705-9K .22, it's a 3-12X with side paralax and it's honestly a really great clear scope.  He soon ran out of them after I bought that one and he hasn't had them since.  It seems like it was only about $70 when I got mine.

Wayne, I am really liking my Sentry 705-9K .22.   I got some cheap scope rings off Amazon, ( had to take .015” off the clamps to get the bases to sit level and right with the world).  I had read where buddyb had had some trouble with his mags, so I checked them with a #1 drill bit,(.228”).  Sitting empty, the mags rotators look out of alignment with the housings, but using the shank of the drill bit as a pin to check they are fine.  I started  with CP HP 14.3 gr, which worked okay.  (Shooting at the basement range, 16 yd)   RWS Super Dome 14.5 which shifted POI down 3/4”, but grouped good.  Then some JSB Diablo Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.13, (some mis-shapened ones that I have).  They shot the best, about 3/4”  center to center.  Tried some Jumbo Beast 33.95 gr, but the were too long for the mags. I reshaped the skirts of the 18.13 gr JSB’s and shot some more tonight.  3K psi fill, 24 shots ending at 2200 psi, ( takes 70 strokes of my hand pump to refill it), power setting at 4, fps 912 to 829, Average of 861, SD 17. 
It looks like a pellet sizer is key to accuracy.  I believe that if I were to size the CPHP 14.3, they would perform Great.  The heads of all of the pellets are approximately .218” diameter.  But the skirt is where it counts, ( at least it is looking that way to me).  Project for tomorrow is to make an adjustable pellet sizer.  And I am going to get some JSB Monster 25.39 to try.   BTW, this is my baseline.
