Thanks Wayne for the info. Mine is the same and I'm going to do as you did  on the next one and drill it to 5/32. That's the max as you say if you want to keep the transfer port and also as it's cutting into the sealing area for the poppet, I think you've got the right size to max out on. Thanks!
Zeddy my trigger is also missing thr auto safety feature. Here is the trigger and how much I filed down the safety to keep it functional once the trigger is adjusted. Both tabs were the same size before filing.

Wayne did  you drill out all three holes in the barrel? I suppose it makes sense to do so but I wonder if a person would gain more power if a metal band or something could be put over those holes and only the bottom one left open if that would increase power even more. Seems like a waste of air having that channel all the way around. I'm curious if drilling three holes out makes a difference in power to simply drilling the one that is on the bottom.
If no one else has experimented I guess I'll have to see if I gain or lose drilling one then the three.

Is this part on the barrel end ?

Looks to be a thimble for the end of the bbl? WHY?

I'm pretty sure that part is what the shroud fits into. They drew it small so it looks like it goes onto the end of the barrel but I don't think so.

It's made from plastic, mates up to the breech and #3 after assembly.

I completely went through the gun to make sure everything is kosher, deburred everything that needed deburring and did some measurements.
Valve Diameter = 25.8mm
Airtube OD = 30mm ID= 25.8mm
poppet diameter = 9mm, stem diameter=3mm
original TP I.D.=3.3mm

Here's a chrony test I did after reassembling, it's the first 32 shots out of this gun and I'm sure after 1K rounds things will change a little.

Here is the start of some info on my 705-2, 22 cal model Sentry.

The O/S diameter of the fill valve measures right at 1.058" across the thread tops,
and the I/S thread diameter measures 1.020", across the thread tops,
(part# 23, same diagram as posted).

Using a Metrisch 60* thread gage, the pitch is 1.0 mm,
seeing that I am sadly lacking in metric talk/foo, you"ll have to figure out the metric end.........

I/S tube diameter is 1.005" with a total inside length of 19-1/8" for a total CC capacity of 248cc ?
The thread depth of the fill valve has been deducted from the total length, measured to top of valve.

I can see the valve way down inside..................the rest of my tools should ? be here today.....

Don I need to compare the Valve Part numbers because they are different from new and old inside the valve body, they machined different.  Valves might not be interchangeable between the side levers and bolt action models.

but I have to use US standards etc, my Metric Foo is lacking etc.
As soon as I can get the valve out I'll add the info, along with photo's etc.

Would there be that much difference between the 702 and 705 models, in parts?

For not being broken in, that seems to be very good ballistics so far..........

 Thank you so much for breathing new air into this old thread.
My "old" sentry is now fully charged, 3 mags loaded with it's favorite pellts and in the case sitting next to the door. It's going to work tommorow to take care of some Grinners, Bandits, snakes and any other vermin.

Scott even with that old UTG scope I have on my 702 I can say it's going to be noticeably lighter than the HC's, One thing I should have done when I had it apart was used white lithium grease on the bolt because the goo they come with isn't all that great IMO.  I put White lithium on my 705-2 and it helped a lot.

Mine wearing a BSA "Catseye" 4-16x44 side focus... the "screw on" lens covers are a odd but really impressive in looks and performance for what it cost.

Wesbob the part you file down is the safety reset, leave the other tab alone it is the safety!!!
on Waynes .25 Hc it is filed flat
safety reset adds the load on cocking

the receiver blocks are slightly longer on the sidelever, i tried to slip in a barrel from a .22 hc bolt onto a .22 Sl and it would not seat in all the way, most likely machining the barrel taper could fix that but the shroud tube would need to be cut as well

Wayne having all three variety's can you compare receiver block mounting screw spacing?

Actually on these new models anyway it is necessary to file down that safety side otherwise it will not allow the safety to function once you lighten the trigger. As you can see in my trigger picture the safety had to be filed or it would not fit under the trigger. It is still completely functional and will not allow it to fire on safe once I filed it.

Part # 29, the top of the valve, is there a restriction at the intake hole, unknown hole size?

Since I can't get my valve out yet, I am unable to answer this question, or provide any info etc.

Just received my 705 today.  Very happy!  All I can say is that it looks much better in person.  It's just not photogenic.  15 yard test was very promising and it's not as loud as I feared.  It was getting dark as I left the room and just happened to notice that the gauge is glow in the dark.  That makes me happy.  Sometimes it is the small things...

Here is the lengths of my Sentry's rifles,

705-2   = 22 cal, = 6.100" long, standard bolt action,
705-9T = 25 cal, = 6.310" long, side lever.

This is the measurement along the pressure tube, where the action attaches.

I think you'll like it,
I haven't fired a round thru either of mine, both had leaks, putting a stop to that at this time.........
