Stormrider or Equivalent - Valve Work ....
«

My Stormrider was audibly leaking out the check valve and regulator areas, but after replacing these o-rings, I still loose 200 bar overnight.
- Balloon on the air tank end ..... No Leaks
- Ear up the pressure gauge hole ......... No Leaks
Open the bolt, ..... I can hear a faint hissing ............ I believe my final leak must be the poppet
.
The (sealing) tip of the poppet is made of brass (encased in delrin or nylon) while the valve stem is hardened steel.
The troubling part of this leak is, "I've never had a poppet seal (enough) to hold air when pumping, only to leak at 200 bar"
.
So ........... I guess I'll need to use some abrasive paste and spin the poppet in the valve seat until they mate or seal better
.
Anyone tinkered with the poppet/valve seat (seal) on this gun before?

Re-poppeted many a QB
I redrill the 3mm stem to .125", where a drop in seat squaring tool can be inserted. Once seat surface is square to the stem hole make a PEEK poppet head and lapp in.
How close a stormrider design is to a QB have no idea
But the above procedure can be applied to others as well give or take design limitations of parts needing to be modified / fabricated.

Yeah, it's a somewhat peculiar tapered shape and while I haven't had to lap the poppet on either of my SPA guns, that's precisely what I would do if I were in your shoes.

Thanks Guys for your input
.
Today, ..... finally drilled out the valve throat to 5mm and valve port to 9/64"+. Put some Mothers Mag polish on poppet and spun in drill to polish its seal.
Going to pump her up and shoot a string .......... will test for leaking over night, but so far no leaks or sounds of leaks
