3rd (or likely 4) super heavy wight .22 JSB tests

3rd test of the super heavy weight .22 pellets.
OK...I "cheated" and excluded the .22 rifles that absooultly refused to shoot any of the heavy weights worth sour-snail=-snit.
(will be a 4th post...have the urge to find out what the 21-33.9gr. pellets would do out of 16 foot pound aa/CZ .22 s200)
First two tests:

Today's test was more in line with moderate power .22 PCP's (lets say 24-26 foot pounds). Yep..hand drawn rats (or very young squirrels) on 1/4" graph paper pasted to a target backing in order to see the holes a bit better (can see a little of the "NRA-tan" peeking around some of the edges).
Using a .22 Chief and starting only at 25 yards (OK,,,by steel tape, it was 24.5 yards..it was raining...not going to sit the target or myself out in the rain).

1. Don't think I really need to move to +40 yards for the 33.9gr. JSB's I'll go that far any way with the 25.4gr., as they seem to be on the verge of "going stupid".
2. Do think the "tails" on the pellet-holes with the JSB 33.9gr. are important....it's a sign of instablity. Them girls were "sashaying down" the firing line, twishing their tails one way or the other along the way.
3. Heavier still earned more energy in each example.
4. Only excuse for the 25.4's forming a group so far to the left is barrel-harmonics...it wasn't wind. At least it seems stable, so could easily adjust the scope to suit.
5. does not escape me that the 3 best choices were all Chinese mde barrels.
I WOULD NOT BOTHER with the real heavy weights unless you have a PCP that can launch them to a "reasonable" speed. Lets take "reasonalbe" to be 780-800fps (or 34-45 foot pounds).

Haven't had to buy the new redesigned version yet....still happy with the old ones, so won't be buying the new ones until I have to.
But yeah...can get either an old BAM 51 to just break 50 foot pounds and that M10 to get to 58 foot pounds....I just normally back them down in power a little for a bit better efficiency.
