Paul search the forum an how to clean a new barrel. Everyone cleans their barrels differently to remove the cosmoline I think that’s how you spell it? That comes inside the barrels to keep from rusting. Shooting it is not going to remove it. It might make the barrel worst😳 this is what I do get a can of brake clean. Walmart has their brand supertech under $2. Do you have a gun cleaning kit? If you do get the 22 brush I don’t recommend using the brass bristled brush for fear of damaging the bore. I use the nylon brush spray the brush with brake cleaner. Brake cleaner dissolves the grease one the barrel and in the grooves. Cock the gun make sure there isn’t a pellet in the barrel put on safe push rod from the business end allthe way to the Breech. You have to be careful I believe there is a seal oring that may pop out so take a 👀 before you clean you barrel. After a good scrubbing in the cleaning kit there is a loop that you can put a cleaning patch through spray that with brake cleaner and run it down the barrel. You will see how dirty your barrel is. When my groups open up I’ll run a patch with brake cleaner down the barrel sure enough the barrel is dirty and my groups tighten up Any new gun you buy will have grease in them because a gun can sit for months before it is sold. Keeps the barrel from rusting up. Not cleaning it out can cause accuracy problems. I’ve said my peace
My Urban barrel was very dirty. Used a pull through crown saver with several patches with go gone. And I mean it was really dirty. I do not use any rods or brushes to prevent barrel damage. My Urban is very accurate. Great rifle for the $$.
I'll call this one a keeper!
Well, I think I'll call this one a keeper! Top picture is a 5 shot string from a bench at 35 yards shooting Crosman Premier Domed pellets. The second is the same except shooting JSB 15.89gr Exact Jumbos. The gauge works, the magazine is feeding pretty smoothly and accuracy is way better, I think I can live with this...

Buy some jsb 14.35 and h&n ftt in different head sizes. If you are happy with the groups then keep shooting the pellets you have

Bill (Avator) is having some great results with those 3 lbs monster pellets (can't recall the brand)!
