BobI installed the new tank over the weekend and shot the rifle with no problems or leaks, I left the reg stock I didn't put the thinnest belleville washer as a shim (maybe a bit of fear?? jejeje) So for the moment I'll leave it as it is and will order the jefferson state tuning kit, also buying a slidecheck to monitor the output pressure, can anyone recommend me one ?AlejandroI have 2, I purchased a Ninja Slide Check from Amazon and received it in 2 days. It was about $15.00. I ordered it because I was tired of waiting on the one I ordered from AliExpress that took over a month to arrive. The AliExpress Slide Check was $10.00. There was a big difference though, the AliExpress Slide Check was all metal, much heavier and felt way more durable. The Ninja was aluminum and plastic. Both work, I was just surprised at the better quality of the AliExpress Slide Check. These are the parts that make up my tester:Fill Adapter: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Wholesale-Paintball-Replacement-Slide-check-Quick-disconect-blue-slide-check-paintgun-marker-parts/387546718.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.NwzlPQGauge: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/PCP-Paintball-Airsoft-High-Pressure-2-5-Oil-Liquid-Filled-Gauges-63MM-Diameter-400Bar-6000Psi-1/32825803448.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.CLumFASlide Check: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Paintball-Remote-On-Off-Slide-Check-Valve/32789056482.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.CLumFATotal investment: $27.37 and a long wait! It's the same one and someone did the install on it already, you can check it over hereAlejandro
So basically if I buy this 3000psi bottle, I still can use default Gauntlet regulator w 180deg gauge-fill port?
Hey Paul,Did that Ninja Reg ($45)come with a spring OR Belleville washers? I called Ninja and they said that came with a spring ..... That would mean another $10 for Bellevilles .... Thanks
Yes, it had the spring, but I had a Chinese regulator that had the fill port and gauge at 90 degrees so I just used the belleville's from that regulator. Zoro.com has the belleville's and shims pretty cheap. You will need the shims no matter which regulator you get so you can adjust the output. If you've never purchased from Zoro before, you can get a 15% off code for your fist purchase. They have a sampler pack of shims that gives you a variety of sizes. Shipping is pretty reasonable also, and they let you know how much it is before you place you're order, unlike McMaster-Carr!
Here's mine with a mini tank. For $4.50 you get a Slide check and an extra Quick Disconect.
Do please tell me where and how .... here's $5.00!!!
I ended up putting the Ninja reg from the rifle on the 23ci tank and strapping that on. My current shot count is about 140 before dropping from ~850 (JSB 15.89)!! I want to drop the reg down a little (just under 1300psi) and probably add JSA's High Travel Valve retainer, to end up with around 800fps for close to 200 shots. That might make me happy (for a couple of days) LOLThe only problem I am encountering, is accuracy! This is BORING. hole in hole in hole in hole ..... I set up a whole line of paintballs at 25 yards and pick them off one by one. So far, the only way I have managed to get interested, was to feed some 13gr Chinese cheap pellets through, and watch them scatter all over the place. My son in law and I make bets as where the next one will hit! CP domes, CPHPs, JSBs all go hole in hole. Different POI, but hole in hole.Cheers
Archellas...Did you install the tune kit from JSAR? That seems like a really good shot count and I understand about the boring accuracy thing inside of 25 yards. Looks like I have a 23ci bottle in my future!
