Squirrel gun .. well Belding ground squirrels at least. * AKA Sage rats, Squeek dogs etc ...
when you can easily take 200-350 shots inside a 2-3 hour period you go threw not only pellets quick but air too !!
Just finished up a tank of air done over the last few weeks in this shot quantity test.
Single air fill of 230 bar ( @ 3325 psi ) and now at 120 bar ( 1750 psi ) having shot 250 shots on this single fill using crosman dome .177 cal 10.5 grain pellets shot at @ 940 fps at @ 21+ ft lbs.
Efficiency using Lloyds calculator works out to @ 1.5 FPE/cuin which is really good for a small bore .177 gun at high power output.
Granted rifle sports a 500cc bottle, but DANG ... having a gun that's really not that heavy make 250 or more shots at this power level on a single fill ... I LOVE IT !!!
Fill up the gun, pack a good 1/2 tin of pellets and shoot all morning long without a need hiking back to the truck for air !!
Close or far this guns accuracy is stellar. Just this afternoon in calm winds was taking 70/80+ yard shots and hitting inside 3/4" consistently ... That's minuet of squirrel noggin in my book.
Loving this newly acquired Daystate Air Wolf MCT
... this springs hunting is going to be more fun than ever.
Just sharing my enthusiasm of my new air weapon.

I did shoot one of them guns several years ago, that gun is soooo easy to shoot well,
The trigger doesn't exist
, the report don't exist
and it's so easy to be extremely accurate with it,......the best I can explain the experience is that I felt like if I was playing a video game
I though the gun was big and heavy tho.

Nice!! With the 10.5 they might be flat trajectory... The bc should be good too... 250 shot is monumental and great subject for hunting

I know what you mean Scott.
An older fellow, and good friend and I went in to get one together. (a little pricy you know. LOL!!!!
Unreal the quietness and accuracy. Sadly, even though I live in the middle of nowhere Central Texas, believe it or not, there is NO place to hunt. Unless you spend a fortune annually for a hunting lease. Everything is fenced. You can go 100 miles in any direction and not find a property not fenced. With most owners out of State. Mostly wealthy land owners from Cali. who won't allow any hunting of any kind. Yes, people fly form all over the U.S. to hunt Texas, but it is just about all private, high dollar pay to hunt. GRRRRR!!!
I did shoot the Gun a LOT when it first came in, but since all I could do with it was shoot paper, I quickly lost interest. It was so darned accurate, and requiring so little effort to get good groups, there simply wasn't much of a challenge. You knew what it was going to do accuracy wise, before you picked it up. In short, it became boring.
Always wanted a very accurate, high quality AG. Finally got one, and found it boring. LOL. Back to working on AG's and trying to perfect them. Luckily I haven't managed to prefect one yet, as it would probably be the end of my AirGunning.
My buddy passed away, he was in his mid 80's, and the family came and took everything in sight. Came un announced, broke in, and claned the multiple buildings out completely. We, (my wife and I, had several ag's there that are just gone. That, and a nice Tex. 4500 psi compressor that had not so much as been plugged in yey. Such a shame.
It all probably ended up in pawn shops. They were from LA. Somewhere. Never met them.
I would have been in pure heaven having Ground Squirrels to hunt with it.
Your a luck man indeed!!!
