Always wanted a wood stock for my 2100/766/2200 guns so.....

Took a Benji stock and modified it to fit a 766 receiver.
still a work in progress but here it is so far.

I made a few for some of my guns and the 766 will be all wood.

The center gun is a "78" 760 with a 2100 pump tube, all wood and metal.
785 FPS with 10 pumps. Just finished it last month.

A thumb hole stock would be nice on the 2100.

Is that Ruger 10/22 wood you used on that 760 ?

As far as the thumbhole stock goes, the look is not my style ( I'd rather try to exactly replicate the original ) but you did a good job and it shouldn't look too bad when done.

Yes, the 760 wood stock was from a 80s Ruger 10-22.

The thumb hole stock is not for everyone but this stock feels really good.
Stripped and stained it yesterday.

Sealed the stock.
Needs to be rubbed out after the finish cures.

I believe this wood is birch so it was really a challenge to get it to look decent.
Birch, pine, cherry, alder etc don't take stain evenly so if I can't get it to work
I break out the truck bed liner like this one.

Not yet. I have a few 766 parts guns and that TH stock will go on one along with a wood pump arm.

I'll be making a similar TH stock for my Hot Rod 2100 which already has a wood pump arm.

Made a TH stock for my Hot Rod 2100.
Sanded off the Monte Carlo cheeks and lightened the stain to match the existing wood pump arm.
This stock had better wood grain than the first.
Should get it together soon.
