The stock on this one was scratched and dented on an otherwise pristine rifle.
Striped, sanded, restained, 10 thin coats of tung oil.
Turned out very nice I think.
The Darkside is calling my name so this is available for trading, anyone interested in getting me started in PCP's??
Marauder, Disco w/acc ?????

Mine was made in April of 1993 and is a 177 also. But that job you did on yours makes it a little prettier than mine. Dont get too worked up over the dark side. That 48 can compete with most of them and even out do several. IMHO.

Thanks for all the compliments, I was a finish carpenter for many years and cannot look at a peice of wood without seeing possibilities.
I've gotten several replies off forum inquiring if I would sell it. I'll sell it for what I have in it, that way I can use the cash to possibly buy a Disco on sale someplace.
With the torn up right shoulder it's hard for me to cock just about any springer or pumper, so I need to go towards PCP or co2 if I want to stay in the hobby.
I would really like to trade for something but I paid $335.00 for the Diana, if you would like it you can have it for that and I'll split the shipping with you.
It's really a beautiful gun after I re-finished the stock. It was in a regular gun shops (powder burner) booth at a gun show and looked as if it had been handled carelessly, scratches in the finish...I don't think they appreciated the quality workmanship of the Diana...
I dont think it has been shot enough to be "broke in" yet.

If you really want to sell it, put an ad in our classified gate with pics and your price.
Someone is bound to snatch this beauty up. If it was 22 cal I would be tempted myself, as I already have a 177.

The 48 is a workhorse and can be very accurate. I got mine back from an advanced tune and it's a 1-hole machine at 20yds when I do my part. It's unbelievably accurate. If I concentrate I can get every pellet in the group (of 5) touching at 30yds from a rest. At 25yds it makes small ragged hole groups almost every time. But it's easy to shoot accurately now, and very little to almost no hold-sensitivity. The gun is better than me I think after the tune.

That surely is a great looking stock you have done some fine work on a good ag. Richard (amb5500c) made a beleiver out of a lot of people at the SC shoot with his, the old cajun man sure could shoot that twangy thing of his, just goes to show the twang does not mean its not accurate and he is for sure a great shot. He was shooting paintballs in pcp land there just as good as any of them at 55 yards. Thanks David

Gene the price is listed in the Classified Gate add listing of $335. and also in reply #7 above..
This thread started out with a discussion of the stock refinish and a question if anyone wanted to trade and just kind of morfed.
It's been FS for a while so I'm motivated to do something with it. "She who must be obeyed" is giving me the stink eye everytime she sees it so somethings gotta go and I'd rather it be the rifle instead of me....
