Coffee and many, many, many, too many Danish butter cookies.  I couldn’t stop!!!   Now I feel a little guilty.

Sounds like a disaster diet plan is in store for ya, I eat that much I couldn't move for month. Gotta love the Holidays. ;)
And there is still more to eat!  Every year our neighbors across the street bring us the BIGGEST tin of those butter cookies for Christmas time.  Hang on.....

75 serving in the container at 4 cookies per serving.  300 cookies!

You sure do thing right Dinh! That looks like a nice day out.
It was a great day out, Jerry. I only get out for 3-4 hours, but it does recharge my spirit.

Dinh, you need to go on that "The Last Alaskan" show.
I watch those shows and fantasize about living that way. However, I'm not sure if I could endure that type of lifestyle after the honeymoon stage ends and the struggles lingers. I'm just happy to be playing in the woods, and then coming back to civilization once I get cold, tired, and out of food  ;D
Now, that show "Alone", I would love to give a shot.

I absolutely loved these cookies when I was a kid! I still like them, but I just don't ever remember to buy them. Which is a good thing, since I'll eat a dozen at a time.

I really enjoy that show. Good decent people. Shame about Bob's passing. I was hoping he'd recover and have more time to watch his grand kid grow up like he wanted.

Tonight is french fries with a cup of nacho cheese on the side to dip them in. Yum!

I have to ask...what sardines do you like most? Most I eat taste like cardboard dipped in oil.

Sardines is just a general marketing term for a number of species of small oceanic schooling prey fish. So, you don't truly know the actual species you're getting in a sardine can.
I buy the cheapest brands which is typically: Bumblebee; Starkist; Beach Cliff. $1/can. I find that even within the same brand the texture will vary. I suppose it's just whatever happens to be the catch of the day. Sometimes the texture is dry, like that of mackerel, and sometimes it can be tender, like the texture of pate. I favor the tender side.
I now only get mine packed in water, which is actually a broth. I eat it as a post workout meal, after my morning gym session. I add it to my fried Egg Beaters and wilted baby spinach. Top off with plenty of hot sauce!
Breakfast of champions  ;)

Jalapeño Cheddar Cheese Poppers from Walmart for $1.00/box of 6-8.  Absolutely scrumptious when dipped in Buttermilk Ranch dressing and chased with Margaritas.   ;D

I looked for those today at Walmart, but the one's for a dollar looked like they only had pieces of Jalapeno in them. Not an actual Jalapeno stuffed the cheese. What kind did you make?

Betty Lou did a great job on the Angus steaks, mac n cheese and Brussel sprouts last night.
I don't normally eat the spouts but I gave them a shot.... not the worst thing I've ever eaten. She fried them in lots of butter and garlic. Who don't like butter and garlic?

I don't mind Brussel sprouts that much. I'll eat them when Susan makes them. Typically roasted. I think if you chop them in half, and sauteed them with bacon, in bacon grease, it would be pretty alright.

Made the most of the hurricane survival food, tuna turned into fish cakes and thrown into the air fryer, not your traditional breakfast but it's one way of getting rid of the federal excess in the house. ;)

I can certainly see this being a hearty cold day meal.

I'd reheated leftover deep-fried smelts, from Christmas eve party, last night in the air fryer. It reheated pretty well.

Last night Hoosier Momma was still on her "eat it before it goes bad" rampage... She dug into the chest freezer.  :o

You know what she produced?
Alaskan King Crab legs and a pound of Scallops.... WAit... WHAT???
Where did THOSE come from?!
"Cook these up" she said... Scallops were a little freezer burnt but I sprinkled with Old Bay and  sauteed in real butter they came out fine, Steamed the crab legs and tossed a salad with Catalina and Blue Cheese. Ate until we were stuffed and then I finished the rest... waist not- want not. ;)

Tonight is frozen Jacks Pizza.
