I got a mess of those Umarex pellets to shoot in my Crosman 357. Might have to try them out in some of my springers. Thanks for the reminder Bill.

So far today I carried the C362 while I walked the dogs and tried for pinecones, sweetgum balls, and hickory nuts without much luck. Ain't got my mojo on yet. The wind is kicking around too much to experiment with those 8gr Umarex hollow points and the squirrel hunting is lousy. I know a spot back by the fish ponds where I can fish and watch a Titi thicket overgrown with muscadine, fox grape, and blackberries If the wind drops this evening I intend to park my SXS on the bank. Stick a Bream Buster in the rod holder and lay the .25 cal mod 125 on the hood. It's even got a cup holder.

A pretty good east to west breeze blew up and put the kibash on .177 at 50. I went for the .25 Hatsan 1KV but the 27 grainers dropped 6" at 50 and I didn't want to max out the turret.
Next up was the Ruger Yukon ReAxis with the .22 CPUM. CAN DOWN !! repeatedly.

Got home from work and spent about 40min blowing acorns and leaves off the back and side lawn. Afterwards, I ran about 6 mags through the Notos shooting steel, paper, and wood. Just sat on a outdoor folding chair, crossed my left leg over my right, and rest the gun on the left knee. Just a relaxing and fun shooting session on a beautiful, cool, calm day.

I shot the m50 this morning. I'm still working on figuring out what it likes to eat, fill pressure and holdover. Getting close though. Then I shot 30-40 shots through my 357 bottle armada. Shot the cap clean off a Gatorade bottle so I'm all enamoured with it again lol. I like to always try to end a session on a positive note, this gun makes it pretty easy.

Fifty shots with the good ol’ 880, mostly on paper bullseyes, sitting on ground (no bench), starting at 17’, then 25’, then 33’. All went very well until the last few bullseye targets, when I could hardly believe some of the shots. Some of them I knew were “just me”, but not all of them.

My husband pointed out what I had noticed only in the last half hour or so: the wind suddenly ramped up. Before that, when I heard a gust approaching I would pause and wait before shooting. The pauses became longer and more frequent.

The last ten shots were on a soup can filled with empty pellet tins, set on its side inside the Big Bang Pellet Trap. For whatever reason, those shots were very good again, with what looked like 6 or 7 of them in an enlarged hole right smack center of the tin’s lid. Why do I do better on redneck cans than on paper? (These also were at 33’, sitting, open sights.)

On a completely different note, a large tarantula moseyed by me, doing the usual almost aimless tarantula-in-mating-season thing of changing direction frequently. A couple of times, I swore he made a beeline for my sweatpants. I’d stand up and move away, he’d change direction, and when I sat down again, he would return and make another beeline for me.

(No, I had no intention of shooting him. Now, if he had been a yellowjacket...he wandered right up to a YJ I had killed with Raid. Glad he did not try to eat it.)

I walked my observed distance course today shooting the C362. Spot a pinecone. Estimate the range and the holdover/under. Shoot. Observe pellet strike. If it's a hit walk on. If I miss I reload, eight pumps as fast as possible. Re-acquire target. Estimate corrections. Shoot. Observe pellet strike. If I miss again take three steps forward. Reload, five pumps as fast as possible. Shoot. I move on after the third miss and look for other targets. Some days I clean it. Needing only one or two shots for each target. Today I set myself some pretty tough shots and I missed a lot but I'm pushing the maximum range back farther each day and the wind was blowing pretty good.

It's all good practice for hunting.

It was beautiful, warm and dry today. I sat on my deck with the HW30S and shot at cans and some random objects in the back yard. This might be a perfect gun for lazy, off-deck plinking. I'm still not convinced with it's accuracy but it was fun. I should probably hang some more interesting targets from a couple trees.

I sighted in my pp750 tonight after work. I was around 27-28 yards out. I was shooting off a Caldwell bag on my Altima trunk. It wasn't spectacular but it wasn't horrible either. For an el-cheapo it did pretty good. I had a dfl koi on it so it was very quiet. It now sports a 1-4 lpvo.

Nothing, nothing did I shoot, yesterday or today. Yesterday, I went over to Dallas and picked up my love after her flight from visiting her son and DiL in Tampa. Today it poured, off and on, much needed rain.

Tomorrow and Saturday, maybe a few shots before the temperature drop into the 40's after the weekend? We'll see.

HW30S in .22 cal at a can in the yard. Rolled it for about 20 shots until my pellet pouch was empty. Very satisfying shooting low and slow at a can

My .25 Armada is my most accurate air rifle. Not sure if I'm capable of hitting a bottle cap at 50yd consistently, but I know the gun can.
