after mowing the lawn the wind was still non existent so set the Regal XL on the bags, replaced the stock reflex mod with a new Weihrauch, and sighted her in at 30 yards with JSB 18s.  then i set the target out to 50 yards and found they drop 1 midlot.  just to see what kind of difference i would get shooting the 15.89 hades, i shot a mag of them at 50 and the poa/poi was the same.  brought the target to 30 yards and the Hades hit the bull 10 times in a row.  i didn't expect that with the different weights.

I pulled my journal out for my Ruger Air Hawk  .177 cal.  I had forgotten just how much I like this rifle. One of the disadvantages of owning a bunch of rifles is forgetting how fun some of them are to shoot.  I had also forgotten how accurate this little Air Hawk was. Looking back at the journal I had written, "NOT hold sensitive, just have a firm grip, firm against shoulder,  and use an artillery hold. Likes 4.52mm Field Target Trophy 8.64 gr pellets the best. Easy to shoot offhanded.  Great 2 lb 3 oz trigger, "

Took her outside,  she sure looks smart sporting that UTG 3-9X40AO IR scope.

Well.... I shot some targets. I had zeroed it at 25 yds,
○ so propped on my elbow I shot quarter size groups dead-on at 25 yds;
○at 20 yards it was shooting nickels size groups about 1/8 Mil•dot low;
○15 yards not quite 1/2 Mil•dot low;
○10 yards a tad over 1 Mil•dot low.
At 30 yards it was hitting a half Mil•dot high and 1/2 Mil•dot right. But I did have a left to right cross when while shooting at 30.
I didn't shoot any farther than 30. The group at 30 was hitting about 1-1/2".
This was shooting propped on my elbow.

Haven’t posted in a while and have not shot anything in quite a while. Life’s been a bit hectic and just have not felt the need or urge to shoot until today. After about 10 minutes into it I thought “you big dummy, this is what you needed”!
 I shot all of them at targets and then a couple for groups and had a nice relaxing couple of hours. Broke the abutment washer spring in my Daisy 880 and even enjoyed repairing it. Hope all is well with everyone.

I took my XS60 hunting for the first time.  There is some thing to this whole "dark side" thing.  This XS60 is a freakin' death ray on squirrels!  After I killed four tree rats with four shots I decided that maybe it was too easy.  Even at nearly 40 yards the gun is more accurate than I am.

HW95 .177 and Daystate Huntsman Regal .177.
Both on target and super fine rifles.
I can't get over the HW95 .177 (not L) which shoots to 889 fps along with the Daystate PCP.

So either PCP or Springer pick Daystate Huntsman or HW95 .177 from AOA and forget having to send anything back.

after installing the CBR trigger in the NP2 i set out to see what a difference it would make.   i quickly became bored with shooting paper and filled my game bag with a days limit of aluminum cans in record time.  then i took out a week's worth of used dixie cups and a whole platoon of chinese army men.  once the cphp tin went dry i opened a new tin of JSB .22 wadcutters and loaded up 3 Air Venturi pellet pens and took to eliminating the wife's old cans of hairspray and a can of expired whip cream.  once i got in the groove nothing was safe.  balloons were filled with water and hung only to be emptied again via a pellet hole.   crab apples were gathered from the neighbor's yard and setup in firing line fashion.  after awhile it started to drizzle, but i wasn't ready to quit, so i setup my hunting blind on the patio and decimated over a dozen old AA batteries. alas the sun departed and i cursed it for leaving me to clean up the yard in the fading light and now steady rain.   the damage was spread out all over the back east corner of yard and i was soaked by the time everything got picked up, but it was worth every drop of rain that landed on me.

DAAAANGGG! Going from a "Bark" down to to Mouse fart quiet is an understatement.... All I hear is the "Ping" and then the pellet hit the target!
..... AND the POI is still spot on with the FX 15.9g pellets anywhere from 20-35 yards.

 I had my best intentions to sight in my new .50 piledriver, but by the time I clocked out of work to do so it was way too damp, chilly, and windy to bother. 
 But during lunch break I did shoot one of my Daisy 880s got one HOSP, and played hide n seek with a chipper but think he felt the chill in the air and went to his bunker to stay cozy

I put in a couple of hours in my squirrel hunting blind with my XS60c.  I checked my zero and assessed the wind with four shots at a spinner propped up 38 yards away at the foot of my feeder tree.  That was it.  I didn't see any critters that I wanted to eat so packed it in just before dark.  The LDC that I ordered from Mike Melick actually works very well.  The hammer is the loudest part of the report.  So I don't have any qualms about shooting a few test rounds to establish the range when I change positions while hunting.

I got out my frequently ignored LGR, gave it a coat of Renwax, and once again had a really good time shooting it poorly. Poorly for it is better than most things I shoot, but not remotely close to what it can do.

I need to shot it more often.
