The BSA scope that I have on my Airmax Dominator is still the favorite scope that I have and I think the next time that I see the BSA scopes on sale I might go for one.
Today I did not go to work due to a funeral. But after that I was foot loose and fancy free. So this afternoon. After what seems like 40 days and 40 nights of rain (shoulda built an Ark), I brought out the new Xisico XS-12 I had bought from FD for Grand-Daughter #1.I had a tin of H&N FTT's in 4.51 head size that are not "favored" by any of my .177's so thought I would use them to sight in the XS-12 and see what I got.I set the target up at 10M for the initial trial and loaded up this little gun. No scope just the factory open sights. OH MY GOSH!!This thing is amazingly smooth, not hold sensitive at all, and DEAD NUTS accurate!I then really inspected it. The rear sight was adjusted a tad right... I bet my bottom dollar that Mike M. not only buttoned it, honed/polished /tuned and lubed it, but also pre-sighted it in!!! With my old eyes and open sights the group could be covered with a nickel.I have a couple Kruger 3-9X32 mildot AO scopes from the past ebay bulk buy still in the box. I think "Dead-Eye Lou" is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the back yard.
Woke up yesterday with what has to be the worst head ache I've ever had in my life. I don't get head aches often and I really feel badly for those that do. It put everything on hold.... even work. I called off and spent half the day in the confines of the bedroom where it was cool and quite. Finally got hungry enough to come out. After eating the head ache began to subside. But I didn't get into anything noise related such as shooting.I feel much better today.... we'll see where it goes.
Brett, just wait until your "babies" start bringing you their "babies"! I taught all four of my daughters to shoot early on as you have your clan.Daughter # 1 has a Rossi .22 over a 20g Drilling for woods walking,Daughter #2 is a clay shooting machine with a 20g break barrel that was her Great Grandfathers.Daughter #3 loves her pistols. Carries a Taurus .38 revolver.Daughter #4 had ear trouble all her youth, Loud noise was painful...but when I introduced airguns, it was a game changer for her. Then came the Boy Friends and subsequent Son in Laws.... imagine THEIR Surprise Now the next generation is coming of age.
