Shot the new to me Seneca Aspen a bunch. Probably around 100 rounds. Got to try the 90cu in bottle for filling and after 10 fills it was still going strong!

It was a beautiful day out in spite of the overcast. Even convinced the wife to come out and try it some. Put the target out at about 30 feet and darn if after a couple of wild shots started putting 3 rounds in the same hole! :D A testament to how easy the Aspen is to shoot. She had never shot any gun before, let alone a scoped gun. She had a little trouble seeing through the scope at first but soon figured it out. Pretty sure she will be back for more!

But I had to stop to cook some dinner on the grill and it was getting dark. Really nice day though! Good times.

shot the $77 trail. 177. Using the supplied scope at 20 yds. Very happy with the rifle, put 200 of the copper colored crosman 10.xg pellets  down range. Nice off hand ringing a spinner.  Shot the Legacy 1000 and 2100b.

Just got done shooting the 2240 testing the accuracy, since i didnt check after tuning it to max power. Suprized at the big difference 4 extra foot pounds makes in accuracy. Getting a half dollar size hole and upwards 6 inches from where the scope/power was last set for 70ft. Gunna wait for a nicer day so i can blast 200~ pellets down the yard and extra fine tune it for a bit more accuracy.

I didnt pull one out for actual reference, but we have 3 locked up along with a good handfull of 2$ bills. My god mother used to get them from her job back then and give em to "tooth fairy" for me later to find under my pillow.

Finaly the weather allowed me to do some zeroing with the Hatsan striker AR that i scoped,  meassured out 25 meters in the snow and shot at different things in the snow to see where the point of impact was, roughly adjusted and then shot at the papertarget, got it zeroed and shot at spinners and cans, but i liked this gun better without any scope so i removed it and zeroed it with open sight at 25 meters also, much much funnier to shoot with this gun unscoped

Found the SNR 357 in it's case on the backseat floor in the Nitro. Took it in the shop and shot 50 or 60 into the pellet trap at 15ft or so during breaks from cleaning.
Fun off hand shooting. The realism of that gun is remarkable. You're waiting for the big BANG and it goes pop.

Shot a handfull of pellets to 70ft with the 1377, hoping the otherday was a fluke, i guess its time for a new barrel.  I over abused it...

Guess i didnt "shoot" footage either of the bird eating my coon food. Have a small motion cam (not a real trail cam) set under out deck pointing out to the yard. The bacon, pistachios, marshmallows, and bread is being eaten by a bird (snow prints show) but i cant find the culprit/species. I never heard of a "common" bird that eats meat/bacon besides hawks, and thats definitely not whats in the yard.

Crows eat meat,..I should say carrion.

Crows, shrikes, and a few others will eat carrion in the winter for survival. Crows are the most common to come to a carcass no matter what time of the year it is.

Shot the Benjamin Trail .177. Had some Beeman 10.1 pellets, better fit into the gun. The crosmans 10.6 were hit or miss, some loading fine, some needing a push to get them to seat.
Took the scope off the Legacy 1000 for some lost tech pump shooting.
Took a few shots with my vintage Blue Streak, bought new in 1978, puts the new pumpers to the curb. I maybe should have stopped with that one rifle in 1978....

......shrikes, and a few others.....

Just looked up shrike, sure as poop, that has to be it. Never payed attention/cared at what birds were in our yards, but i know the "looks" of what is in our yard. They are around very rarely, usualy cardinals and blue jays here but others are normal too.

If its still snowing  tonight after i throw more bait, il try and take a picture of the tracks made tomorrow if the bird shows up and eats its way into the bacon?!

Looking more at photos, the "shrikes" is the pack birds that live directly on the other side of our 10ft privacy fence, next to our bird feeder. Its funny i never cared to learn about the birds around here, since they dont cause problems, but being here at GTA im learning more and more on wildlife in general. Thanks everyone!

Shrikes are also known as the "butcher" bird. The victim is impaled on any thing that sharp or can be wedged in. Barbed wire fences are a good place to see it's handiwork. They prefer their meals dead and dried.

I just came indoors from shooting my Beeman P17.  It is about 23˚F outside and once my fingers cooled off, it got troublesome to load flat-point pellets into the P17's breech.

That pistol never ceases to amaze me with its price/performance ratio.  A little fiddling with the trigger is all it needs to make it dream to shoot.  I have an inexpensive RWS 1.7 x 20 scope on it.  Initially, I had mounted the scope with conventional rings but found that I would sometimes pull the rear ring off the pistol's dovetail when cocking it.  Switching to a one-piece mount solved that issue.

If you've ever considered picking up one of these pistols, I heartily recommend doing so!  It is a real tack-driver.

Bob

I considered it right up to where I see it is only available in .177. Too much invested in .22 atm.

Shot some 21.75 gr. Gamo pellets through my 392 yesterday at 50 yds.
It stabilized them quite well on 8 pumps giving perfect round holes.

I was shooting from a rickety card table for a rest and holding 5 shot groups in the 1 inch and a tad less range.
I think they’re going to be quite accurate and will try them from my portable bench rest next time.
