Umarex Gauntlet

Lets hope it isn't vaporware... Who knows what is really going on, although Umarex IMHO really should have released some kind of statement(s) along the way.  The vendors are probably at the mercy of what the manufacturers tell them.
Anyway, was in touch with PA this am for something else and asked about the Gauntlet...
"We actually just got word from Umarex USA that we should have them here within the next couple weeks. We are very excited to be receiving this shipment (after many months of waiting!) and can't wait to get all the back orders filled. The date that is now listed on the website is correct, according to Umarex USA."

 I tell you there so many companies missing the target lately its shocking. Then we have overseas companies really taking leaps but not really making a high quality product it seems were stuck in some kind of in between zone. BUT I see 2018 as maybe that breakout year for new products and technology so maybe the big boys are just waiting for the 2018 season. JMHO

Should I say I shot 7 tiny 10-shot groups and one tiny 7 shot group with my home-made "Gauntlet"?

I must admit I enjoyed holding that wood stock and sending the remaining .177 Barracudas into my trap this evening.  The repeating action and MRod magazine worked in perfect harmony.  I was tempted to swap back to my 10" barrel for some CPHP fun, but then I'd have to re-zero my scope.

Yup, sure was nice getting trigger-time in on my bottle-fed repeater-breech MRod-magazine-using wood-stock QB-79.   

That reminds me, I need to order some more Barracudas.

I drank the kool-aid, but I'm willing to wait.  As it stands, my last 4-Pay purchase will be paid by time this one hits, so timing is perfect!  Also, SG has excellent Customer Service (Well, for those of us not in CA, IL or whatever other State they won't ship to), so if it turns out to be a dud, I can always return it!

My order is also from SG. I've had good results with their products and CS.
My shipdate is 12/1/17 but that's fine with me because it will be my Christmas gift from me to me.
Have two other PCP's, Disco & Chief, that I'm still getting to know.

Did you pre-order the .177 or the .22?  I hear some .177's are shipping from SG.  I pre-ordered from SG and my current estimated ship date is 12/1/2017.

Here is what I learned from a phone call to PA on Monday after receiving an email from them giving me an order number and a link to tracking information. The link gave me no shipping date but said to call. The gentleman on the phone said only the extra magazines had arrived and the Gauntlets were due to begin “tricking in” on 11/1. Nothing new there but the information about the mags must mean the guns are really going to happen at some point in time. The other thing he said was that PA had finally received their own prototype last Friday and many of their employees got to shoot it and turn in evaluations. The only negative comments they got was from a couple women that thought it was “a little heavy”. He said they were all impressed at how accurate it was at their 2o-25 yard range. I ordered in May and am about halfway down the list, so I’m expecting it’ll be a while before I have one in my hands but that’s ok. I’ve got other PCP’s to shoot and NO, they DON’T charge my credit card until it’s shipped. Now, you all will have to choose whether you think it was accurate information or just a sales pitch but for my part, the guy sounded very credible. And don’t tell me I’m “whining”! LOL
