I tried searching for what I need... I guess my Google Fu isn't as good as I thought.

Is it possible to shorten a Gen2 Mrod tube for use w/a Brod conversion, or would I have to find someone to make me a shorter Mrod tube?  I'm hoping to just modify a factory tube.

SECOND QUESTION:

Does anyone know if the MDS Hammer from WAR can be successfully used w/a Cothran Powerhouse valve for a big bore (or at least cast boolits) application?

Tom the answer to #2 is yes for #1 talk to Lloyd Sike you can probably have him make you a new tube or for what I think you are trying to do have him machine a Titanium tube to cut weight by about a pound or more. Just saying

You can get in contact with Dave at R. Arms Innovations. He made me a Gen 2 tube for a build and last I was in contact with him he had some on hand. And as a bonus he's top notch to deal with.

Ooooh, A titanium tube would be fancy- but also potentially too rich for my blood... I'm about to (hopefully) purchase a 6mm barrel soon...  Besides, I like the extra weight!  Marines, we like doing stuff the hard way!

This build will be strictly a long range target shooter and varmint gun.  So I won't mind the extra weight at all.  Mostly shooting from a tripod.  Now, carrying said rifle to the shooting sight... Well- I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

Excellent!  I have emailed him- Here I sit waiting with bated breath...  I really do hope he has at least one on hand.  But if not, no worries.  I've got other areas of this build I can work on whilst looking for a Mrod short tube.
