Don, I am thinking that it is probably the acid in the tomato, tabasco pepper, or vinegar that is causing the problem more than the spice/heat.  If I eat gumbo with a bunch of Tabasco Sauce in it, NO problem.  But when I try a Sauce Picante (tomato base sauce), often it will cause stomach problems.  I have found that yogurt with live culture every day keeps my digestive system happy; and the “frozen yogurt” qualifies - and it is as good as or better than ice cream.
Tom, I don’t need a doctor’s prescription for the yogurt and it is cheaper than the pharmacy stuff.  The yogurt goes for about $10 a month and it has a variety of flavors.  Next time you are at Walmart, check out the dairy section and look for the 12-pack.

I probably shouldn't be taking the Ranitidine every day anymore. It's hat was prescribed, but my reflux issue were never that bad.
