I have, over the years, added to the 174pc Craftsman ratchet set that dad bought me in the summer of 1973 before I started auto tech in high school. They still look virtually new. I wiped them down with an oiled rag every now and then to clean & preserve them for decades. now a roller cabinet full. I even work on the rifles with them.

I don't remember why he had it at his house. He probably used it to haul off some of my tools that are MIA still. I don't loose tools but I have been too generous in loaning them.

I guess we should just accept the inevitable, we know they will end up with all our tools anyway when we check out
