There are differences in the lengths of the barrels that don't seem to be very material: the 97K is 300mm, while the 77K is 370mm, about 2.75" difference. The OAL is the same (confirmed this at Weihrauch site, that extra 2.75 must be in the stock somewhere).

Thanks guys! That's all I needed to know. For now... I just pulled the trigger on a 77k with cool laminate stock. I like that it has iron sights. Kinda takes the pressure of having to buy a scope, and mounts right away. Though I no doubt will be getting them...

Match this at the rear with an aperture sight and you will have a surprisingly capable iron sighted rig! Saves a lot of weight too. Would be a nice change of pace for when you get your HW97 down the road, and keep it scoped of course.
