As it sits today, one of my vavorite hunters. Set for two mags of shots (18) using 13.4gr. JSB's at 878fps. 6X scope for the field of view, useful LDC, and useful hunting accuracy. To be happy with one, will need to be able to:1. Live with a short shot count. I really don't mind if the air use (efficiency) is decent. Just don't feel "cheated" by short shot counts if the rifle is using whatever volume of air it has well.2. Deal with the mag. loading, which is a bit more "fiddly" than most mags. (I'll post an up-date on that).3. Use heavier weight pellets (at least in .177).
Another couple of reminders....the one I own is in .177. Still showed up making 22-23 foot pounds with heavy weights. Did need a little down tune (smaller transfer port and a little striker spring adjustment) to get it down to about 19-20 pounds.Have no first hand experience with the .22 version, but normally (at the same settings) the .22 turns out more energy. The issue LDC is not all that effective (too small an internal diameter), so you will likely have to buy a more effective LDC if quiet is on the agenda.Right now, the only two PCP's out where I can "grab n go" are a .22 Beeman Chief and that .177 SPA 900W.
