Thanks folks!
I was able to get it sighted in this afternoon...  This one prefers the JSB's to the Benji Cylinders.
Wound up with a quarter sized group with 8 out of 10 shots at 20 yards on 6 pumps. Even with a stout breeze right to left and those open blade sights.
The little center paddle on the Crosman spinner sure flys around at just shy of the same distance.  8)
It does seem to pump easier than my C so maybe shooting a little weak.
Once it calms down out here I'll get out my android Chrono-connect and see what kind of numbers I get.

Yeah, that dark color looks like it did the trick. and I like the fact that you didn't make it look like it was set 1/4 inch deep in water.

HAHAHA.
I do have a way of "over restoring" things... I figure a high gloss would only show the imperfections.   ;)

It's not just that... Hi gloss on guns reminds me of that black Chinese furniture. I hate that furniture. I want my guns to look like tools not art. Besides, you've seen my picture. Any chance to not see my reflection is a chance well taken.

I saw your before and after photos.... before and after the Photo-Bucket swindle.   Gee.. I am glad I'm a computer dummy. I never learned how to use Photo-Bucket.   :D

So..my real question is..How much Whiskey did it take to get your gunstock looking sooooo nice.       ;)

Best Regards. -  Tom     :)

I think this must be Scott's Irish coffee cup !

Looks like he was done with it after he finished work on his gunstock and pump tube.

wow, that looks great!  you did a really good job.

oh and I wouldn't read too much into how easy it pumps.  I've got a bunch of benjamins and sheridans and pump effort doesn't seem to have anything to do with power.  some just pump easier or harder than others, for some reason.  My C9 is also coincidentally very easy to pump, but shoots as hard as my other sheridans.

And just to drive this point home... the C9 that TennX got in the mail today is a beast after 5 pumps.
