I want to be able to top off a Scuba tank, will I be able to use my existing fill station with a male to male foster fitting or do I need something else?
The fill station I have.

We'll include whatever you need, as long as you tell us when you order what you have. Tell Adam you are a GTA member, so you get any necessary fittings at no cost.

But, You will need to determine if that hose is sufficiently rated. For instance, my hoses are rated +9000 PSI working pressure, almost 30,000 PSI burst.  Some of the hoses on those are for paintball only use, some for airguns. Some are rated as high as 4500 PSI, but as low as 3000 PSI WORKING pressure. So please ask the manufacturer.  I can't really judge from this picture, nor be sure that is exactly what they delivered to you.

How are the Alpha filters being attached to the unit?
Any photos?
I want to get one but that's big money for me so I have a few questions first.

We just made a video last night for our YouTube channel (Airgun Scientist) and are editing. I think it will post today (depends if Ricky got it done last night)

Bottom line we found that 2 pieces or 2.5" hose clamp were EXCELLENTLY!

I just wanted to let others know about my experience with buying from Joe B's company. I have found them to be dependable and honest. They ship quickly and they don't cut corners in giving customers the best products and service from what they sell. I will be doing a full review of the Carette Compressor which I will be receiving next week. They sell the old fashioned way you are better off calling for orders and information as their web site is not the greatest. We have all read about dishonest scamming vendors who sell what's not in stock and may never be in stock just to rip off deposits. airtanksforsale is not that way they want to make a profit, their families have to live but they back up what they sell and have always been fair in the few dealings I've had with them

Brian, Thank you for reporting how things went. We try very hard to offer the best service, and we provide that via talking to humans vs. email/forums.
Some companies focus on computers (forums, emails, texts).  We found that working on the phone works best for our customers. It allows us to more quickly assess their needs.

Thank you again for your positive feedback.

Was this thread dedicated only to pre-orders or are we still in "pre-order" status?  Was this for a different introductory price or same price listed on ATFS at $1395 and is that a shipped price or is that a belt-load extra?  Thanks.

We are updating the website. Here is what we will do for GTA Members.

We are updating the websites with the following prices: (Prices reduced on Sept 12, 2017 for limited time)
$1699 for Carette with Alpha Filter, Auto-Condensate Drain (ACD) and Pressure Maintaining Valve (PMV)  (we call this the Fully Loaded Version)
$1299 for Carette with Auto-Condensate Drain (ACD) and Pressure Maintaining Valve (PMV)
$1199 for Carette with Pressure Maintaining Valve (PMV) (We call this the Economy version)

ALL UNITS HAVE ADJUSTABLE AUTO-SHUTOFF

Shipping is not included.

If you mention the GTA when you call, we will offer the following prices
$1599 for Carette with Alpha Filter, Auto-Condensate Drain (ACD) and Pressure Maintaining Valve (PMV)  (we call this the Fully Loaded Version)
$1199 for Carette with Auto-Condensate Drain (ACD) and Pressure Maintaining Valve (PMV)
$1099 for Carette with Pressure Maintaining Valve (PMV) (We call this the Economy version)

Shipping is not included.

This offer for special pricing is good until the end of June.

Yes, thanks.
The fill station is from Crosman and is rated 3000 psi max so to be on the safe side I would need either a higher rated hose or a whole new unit rated at a higher maximum.
Almost forgot, can't wait for the new video. :)

Okay, so maybe I am a bit dense. But I still cant find an answer to whether the (economy unit)  comes with a moisture removal filter of some sort.

Info appreciated.

Info appreciated.

It only comes with a oil water separator. You have to manually open a petcock every 8 minutes or so for 5 seconds  to blow out moisture.  You really need the optional filter like the Alpha  filter that they offer. They also have  a device than can automate the oil water separator  procedure. The alpha filter is better than the similar looking ones that don't use a cartridge, the filters that you pack with loose material  to absorb  moisture are not a good idea as the agents used will sooner than later become corroded internally.
I recommend you spend the few hundred  more for the complete  unit.
My best comparison is would you buy a car with no air or oil filter.  You could but it won't last

You are better off reading the guykuo post on the Carette. The manual I think is not been done in English the booklet that came with it is pretty useless. The info in the guykuo post are fully adequate for figuring out the compressor if you don't have a mechanical mind it may be difficult. Overall I'm happy with the Carette.

As a matter of fact, there is a post by Guy Kuo has a detailed step by step on the operation of the Carette.  It is a very useful one that I printed a hard copy of which sits next to my compressor that I refer to when operating it.

picked up the Carette and the Alpha filter today at Airtanksforsale.Met Jo(owner, awesome guy), and Adam.I was on my way to Legoland with the family. I could not risk leaving it inside the car (heat and theft). So I'm starring the Carette compressor inside our room in  the Legoland Hotel. I'm so excited to run this thing when I get back home. Thanks Jo and Adam.

I have another question. What is the appropriate glycerin level on the gauze on the carette?
Sorry for delay, we don't get a chance to read the forums much, so we kindly request a telephone call for questions, as I might not see these questions for quite a long time.
Bottom line, factory has informed me that THE GAUGE IS NOT TO BE FILLED WITH GLYCERIN.

That surprised me as much as it will probably surprise you all. I guess it is just another one of those carry-over pieces of information floating around from the forums.  To be honest, I did't see the value in adding glycerin to the gauge and didn't in our unit in the store.  As stated in our YouTube video, the one in our video had was a customer's unit and he had put glycerin in the gauge.  We thought it looked cool, so didn't say not to do so. But the FACTORY HAS DON'T ADD GLYCERIN TO THE GAUGE, as it was not made to hold glycerin and may leak out!!!!

I've had that same problem . Vendors do not keep up with the times their web site is 10 plus years old and out of date. They have also not kept up with security that needs to be there to avoid a thief getting your info. On Joe's web site and other out of date site you can look but don't do any more. At least Joe tells you to call for info or purchases I think he would do more business if he updated and maintained . Too often maintenance is ignored.

A phone call is Joe's preferred way of doing business.
1) Because by talking can eliminate any miscommunication.
2) Because by talking you can apply the GTA discount.
3) Because by talking he can actually discuss pricing since MAP pricing is required to be advertised.

So, no reason NOT to call.
And Joe, many thanks for the GTA members discount you offer!!!!
