I can stands it no more, gots to know whats inside my Yong heng!

I pulled it down to the bottom end. Of course I didn't take picture's

Removed all the stainless tubes, the fittings were TIGHT!!!! a very large china man must have assembled mine! Also, some needed adjusting to fit without putting pressure on the line when I reassembled. EDIT, you'll need 14,17 and 19mm wrenches for this part.

Removed the 4 very top Allen bolts. pulled the top part of the cooling head off. two O rings seal this, one small reed valve in here as well. removable water jacket sleeve sealed by two O rings on the head as well. EDIT, 5mm allen wrench for all the second stage head bolts.

Next I removed the 4 Allen bolts that hold the second stage head in place. the head is sealed with a paper gasket, take care you don't tear it. once off, you can see the second stage piston and seals. This is probably as far as you would need to go for a "normal" rebuild. inside is a reed valve and two locating pins that hold it in position. These pins also locate the 2nd stage head, take care you get these aligned during reassembly.

I then pulled the first stage head. 2 Allen bolts and again a paper gasket. The head slips right off the piston, compressing the rings to reseat the head is easy. Again, you don't need to go this far for a "normal" rebuild. EDIT, 6mm allen wrench for these 2 bolts.

everything looked good, 1st stage piston rings had some very minor carbon build up. Second stage rings looked fine as well with some minor "black gunk" coating the rings, piston and the top of the piston. There is a little reed valve on top of the head mentioned earlier for the second stage piston, it was also dirty with the same "black gunk". The reed valve between the first and second stage heads, this was clean. Both heads, had clean and shiny piston bores.

Some very minor corrosion in the water passages. I attribute this to the tap water I used at the very beginning. I'm now using distilled water and water wetter that has corrosion inhibitors in it.

Put it all back together using a lite coat of diver grease on the few O rings and second stage seals. It still works

Know that I know for sure the Tuxing and Yong heng are not all that close in parts, I went looking for Yong heng parts. found these links.

I believe these are the second stage seals for the yong heng.. I'm ordering some today, you'll need 3 for a rebuild.

I'd still like to find the two reed valves. The paper gaskets I can make if need be, the rest is O rings that I probably have already.

John you da man👍🏾 I went on fleabay and AliExpress couple weeks ago looking at buying a rebuild kit as spares. Couldn't find anything for the yong heng. Found the tampon filters that's it.  I put in the search bar for both sites yong heng compressor parts/ rebuild kit nothing.

Change out my compressor oil smells burnt. Dark in color. Yesterday I did top off to 250 bar on my taipan and cricket pups with no problems.

Honestly, its unusual for me not to tear something apart when I first get it I've held off out of fear I'd screw up something on the compressor!

My compressor was and still is running fine. No reason to tear down other than curiosity and wanting to see first hand how some of the Tuxing parts compared since that was all I had been able to find until today....

I do not have a tuxing, so, all I can go off is pictures I've seen of the tuxing. The second stage heads do the same thing but are NOT the same. The second stage piston on the tuxing has 4 seals, 3 on the yong heng, again not the same. Not sure if the second stage seals are the same size or not for both. I think the second stage seals I just ordered are the correct ones for the yong heng.

The first stage heads do look the same between the two, not positive they interchange though. The first stage pistons look the same, again not sure they interchange. I think I have the right first stage piston linked for the yong heng and on order. I'll know for sure once the items deliver... Oh, not sure the Tuxing connecting rod would work either, it has that pointy piece sticking out off the bottom end, the yong heng does not. I think all this is for is slinging oil better...

If anyone happens to find the two reed valves, please post them!!!

I'm not surprised your oil smells burnt after hitting 100c. I'd bet the first stage piston, rings and possibly cylinder are scored a bit....

Now that I've had mine apart, seen first hand how simple they are and found parts.... I think I'll pass on getting a spare compressor.

with the seals I ordered and a spare piston, I think I can keep this little feller running for a long time.

I might order that complete head assy soon though...

I don't want to alarm you but, the catastrophic tuxing failure in the link posted by Jman.... I can see this possibly happening to your compressor.

If I understand what happened to wingman's Tuxing. The 1st stage rings were worn, allowing oil to enter the second stage and diesel. With your compressor getting so hot, and likely damaging the 1st stage rings at least somewhat, I'd be pulling it down to inspect those rings.

I'm not sure what oil wingman was using, this may have played a big part in that failure. I don't think the synthetic oil I'm using will diesel, even at the pressures and temps we're seeing, I'm not sure of this though. I think you're using synthetic as well?

I have it on good faith that there are 2 Tuxing compressors sitting on a specific retailer's bench in heaps... The remainder of his inventory was returned for credit...... just sayin..

Yes, the needed O rings, bonded washers and a couple of delrin? seats are included. This would solve any water or air leaks at the bleed screws and fill whip. My "rebuild" kit didn't include second stage seals. No parts for the first stage are included either.

Hi everyone,

I've been following this thread considering obtaining a compressor myself.  I was searching Aliexpress and it appears there is an upgraded version of the compressor.  The latest version for sale appears to have the following:

-water tank (maybe a gallon capacity guessing from pictures)
-temperature buzzer/alarm
-low pressure safety valve
-low pressure gas storage filter cylinder
-"waterproof" on/off switch
-additional motor mounting screws
-optimized fan

I would post a link, but I am not allowed to yet.  Searching "pcp compressors" on aliexpress will yield the same findings.

I'm not sure if the included water tank would suffice for cooling but it does look convenient as a package.  Nonetheless, it looks like "improvements" or updated versions are in the works.
