PayPal and Ebay don't just protect the Buyer Only They also protect the seller as well, Or they would not be in business. It works both ways, It's a 2 way street.  I never received and email back, When I had a Question about the Item when the price alert was Just Posted, So I passed. If it looks to good to be True, It usually Is   This happens a lot at the Wal-Mart site as well,  Make a reasonable offer you might still save 20 bucks,   Jaa

I got the same eBay message from the seller saying they mistakenly reversed the 2 and the 3 so it should have been 326 not 236 and if I would pay another 70 bucks they will ship it. I will be calling eBay customer service tomorrow since I am not paying the additional 70 bucks. The seller should have proof read the listing first before approving the listing. It is not our fault they listed it at the wrong price. I have made the same mistake before and had to eat the difference, although it was not 100 bucks but still is not our faults and feel we should get what we paid for fair and square period.

For those that want to dispute it the eBay number for customer service is 1-866-540-3229. I will be calling in the am, it will be either they stand behind their listing or refund the cash.

I agree eBay protects the seller and buyer both but IMO this is not a issue that should be awarded to the seller since they obviously did not proof read the listing before posting it so their bad not ours and should stand. If they did not proof read first and caught it after  there were sales on it they need to stand behind it and learn to proof read thourghly before posting. 

That's two strikes for me so hope its does not come to a third time on trying to buy one of these compressors for a lower price.

Mike, I can already see where this is going as I have the same mentality.  Two "sweet deals" gone awry.  It's gonna have you feeling tainted on the compressor itself when the sellers are bogus.  Don't keep looking for that unicorn of a deal but take solace in the fact they can be had for around $300 which is still $77 cheaper than what I spent a couple short weeks ago.

I don't see these hitting the $250 mark, at least not for a year or more.  And when it comes to Ebay, all you've gotta do is research what the sellers sell and read the customer feedback.  It's quite telling.  This particular seller may have made a mistake in his/her listing but what you really gotta look out for is hijacked sellers who've had their identity taken so the scammer can make a quick buck.  And with ebay you'll find that 97% just ain't good enough to qualify as a "good merchant".

Get this compressor in your possession and enjoy it.  You'll very quickly forgot the extra $50 you may have to spent on it.  I've already forgotten the extra $70 I had to vs some of you newer buyers.  It's all good in the hood when you ain'ts gots'ta pump.

Not trying to have a ^*%$#@ match here, But it sounds Like He was Upfront with You. Remember {He Contacted You}  That's the {Difference!!}  And He a Admitted a Mistake was made in the listing. He didn't send you a coin did he??  Or try to rip you off by keeping your money.  He in fact refunded your PayPal after asking if you would pay the difference   I put him on my Buy List as a good vendor,  He's Honest and $326.00 shipped is a good price and, It's in the USA already! He's not out of line at all, And yes I just received my email from him and It does have a US 110 plug on it, Sooo I would say that's good communication. Good Luck on your endeavor. $70 + the $236 already paid is $306 delivered from here in the US. Not $326. I would be upset but I would also have to make a decision. These compressors are not without issues. I know where 2 of the Tuxing brand are sitting on a shelf burned up. If you are successful in forcing the seller to ship at the price you paid, I would think future customer service will be something less than a pleasant experience.

I am curious on how Ebay decides to deal with the price error issue.  I think that either the seller should honor the price or refund the money.  Asking for extra money after auction end is definitely not fair and I am almost positive against Ebay rules.

Well guess what , had I known that id have never bid.. Needless to say the guy said please include 5 extra dollars to cover shipping.. I said " no problem " and he sent the gun well below cost.
The fact is , with the compressors , it seems like it was lure tactic.. Not a mistake.. They figure once you are on the hook , you will pay the 70 shipping.. I agree with Mike.

If it all pans out, $306 is a lot better than I paid a little over month ago. Even though I paid a lot more for the compressor and have been using it all the time without any problems, I'm still very happy with it and have no complaints. I did order spare part, knowing that in time, It will break. I do have a lot of faith in it because I will not let it overheat.  Bob

My main concern is motor longevity, as that would be expensive to replace. These are too new and unproven to pay premium prices for IMO, I measure durability in years not months. That being said, I was willing to be a guinee pig at $236.

I did some research on EBay seller rules, basically when they pull something like this the get a "defect" point on their EBay account. When they reach enough points, they can no longer sell anything under that account. They still have to pay the listing fee, so it's quite idiotic to do intentionally. You can technically sue for breech of contract, which is a joke. Apparently this is quite common on EBay now, the old " lure and cancel" scheme.

Well I have read all of yours comments as to what you think happened and will or will not come from this and myself feel it is a bait and switch scheme so once hooked they real you in and I am not biting. I am watching a few other sellers right now that are within 6 dollars or so of the jacked up price on this compressor. If I was willing to pay that price for one I would already have one and do have a shoebox so am in no hurry to have a Yong Heng compressor.

Not sure why it is stated that the seller will not be paying his fees so seller wins and eBay and customer loses. Seller may not pay as much in fees but eBay still gets paid and buyer wins and for me is as it should be. Its called live and learn from your mistakes just as I have had to do all my life. Some very costly mistakes.

Yes he contacted me but I do not see it as upfront but rather a ploy to get more money from the buyer. Yes I am very untrusting and wary of sellers that do this sort of thing. I know that when I am selling something on a forum or eBay I proof read two and three time before I post it so I am not put in this type of situation. Maybe I am more anal or thorough than others but life and my work ethic has made me this way since I have peoples lives in my hands every day I worked on their cars or bikes. I have had to eat hundreds of dollars over my working career from getting in to big of a hurry and failing to not fix correctly the first time. Fortunately no one has ever been hurt due to my mistakes. I live by the motto, "If you do not have the time to do it right the first time where will you find the time to do it right the second time when it is for free". Yes I still do make mistakes in life just like everyone but do not blame others for my mistakes or expect them to pay for them.

At this point I have 30 days to decide which route I will take so I am in no hurry to decide.

It could have been an honest oversight on the seller's part.  What I was alluding to with the seller winning is depending on the ebay fee structure..(lots of branches in that tree), if ebay gets a percentage of the total sale price, then they'd get less off the seller if that "under the table" stuff goes on.  Not like I care about Ebay or their profits, but just saying...the savings aren't intended to be offered to the buyer and Ebay loses a small amount of profit and the seller gets to pocket the difference of the smaller fee.

Bottom line....
The seller listed several compressors on an online site for a stated price. And sold several at this price over a period of time. Then the seller backed out. How many would you need to take money for before you realized it was the wrong price? For me? The first one.... not several. Something stinks..... really bad.

Thanks Bill, My point exactly. It may have been an honest mistake by the seller but that's on them the seller not the buyer.

As far as eBay not getting the full fee from the sale at the jacked up price that is incorrect since the extra will still be paid thru PayPal and attached to the item number that was purchased so eBay wins and the seller wins but the buyer loses. That's the way I see it. Do not penalize the buyer for the sellers mistakes. Live and learn just like the rest of us have to do.

You're good to go as you have a SB but everyone should beware posting deals too good to be true as it's gonna break someone's heart after getting their hopes up.  I've already seen some tears flow in this thread alone...

Speaking of tears flowing, seems there's a hit squad out there trying to defame these "cheap" compressors over at AGN.  I have to wonder sometimes if one of the members posting is not the "competition".

Well I have thought long and hard on this and everyone is entitled to their opinions as that's their right as it is mine. The way I see it is this is a classic example of just why this country is in the wet poor shape it is because no one is willing to accept the blame for their actions or be accountable for their mistakes in life and business. I am not willing to bear the additional cost that has been requested by the seller nor do I think I should have to since it is no fault of my own that the item was priced incorrectly.  If we continue to coddle and excuse poor performance and inattention to detail under the guise of it was a harmless mistake we remain stagnant and allow our own failure to perpetuate.
It is time that when a mistake is made that those responsible are held accountable for it and not allowed to pass the buck for their own lack of attention to detail. Before that listing should have been posted it should have been previewed with the function on the eBay add template to insure it was correct in all areas, not my fault it was not correct.

I have contacted the seller and explained the fact that an incorrect price is not my fault and I will not bear the cost for their mistake. If I do not see a shipping notice with tracking number with in 24 hours I will be opening a dispute case with eBay and they can decide how it will be handled from there.

This may seem wrong to some but if it was posted correctly the First Time I would not have to be dealing with it now. My time and sanity are far more valuable to me than allowing someone else's error to impact my life and time.
