Anti-Slip Device for the Slip-On Sling - Get your's for only 99 cents!

Some of you are like me in that you may not like the slip-on slings that slip on the barrel.  If you sling your rifle over your shoulder, with the muzzle up, the sling eventually slides up the barrel toward the muzzle. 

The only thing that keeps it from coming off the end of the muzzle would be a brake, LDC or front sight.  The major inconvenience is that the butt of the rifle ends up riding really low on your body. 

If you happen to be vertically challenged then the butt of the rifle ends up dragging the ground.  The only other solution for the break barrel rifles is to install a barrel-mounted sling swivel stud, which ruins those aesthetically clean lines that make air rifles so appealing.

I've managed to get my hands on limited supply of specially manufactured stretchable material that will permit the slip on sling to cling to the barrel and prevent it from slipping.  In the first photograph you will note that this special material is cut precisely to exact dimensions and will not ruin the clean lines of your precious air rifle.  It may look like that stuff that you line the bottom of your kitchen drawers with.



The next step is to wrap the custom fitted special anti-slip material around the barrel of the rifle.  The material needs to be wrapped really tight.  Make sure that the excess oil is wiped off the barrel.



The third step is to slip the looped end of the sling over the muzzle of the rifle then over the material that is now wrapped around the barrel.  Center the loop over the material then cinch it down really tight. This particular sling made by Quake will stay cinched down and doesn't move until I'm ready to take it off.  Don't be afraid to cinch it down as tight as you can get it.



Here's a photo showing the sling in place.  Keep in mind that a lot of oil on the barrel may cause some slippage.  I've carried this rifle around in the field all day and the sling hasn't slipped.  The advantage of this method is that you only have to purchase one sling if you own several break barrel air rifles and you don't have to drill the stock or install a barrel mounted sling stud.  After the hunt it can be easily removed for target practice or for installing on another rifle.

I'm so sorry but the ASDSOS was such an overnight sensation that my entire supply was bought up!  I didn't even realize, till now, that there were so many break-barrel-air-rifle-hunters out there that suffered from slipping slings. 

It's an embarrassing subject that we don't like to talk about in mixed company of hunters who don't have slip on slings versus those that do.

I blush to even mention this but did you know that there are some break-barrel-air-rifle-hunters out there that don't wear any slings on their rifles?  

Within about 30 minutes the massive amount of orders overwhelmed  my pay-pal account and caused it to shut down.  After it was back up, it took another 30 minutes for the orders to completely delete my entire supply.

At first I tried this with a piece of rubber inner tubing.  The sling would still slip up the barrel anyway.

That was because the inner tube had a smooth surface.  The drawer liner works because it's soft enough to compress and the surface has a griping effect which prevents the slippage.
