Got them from Sklep Militaria (Ebay) years ago when they were still $20+ shipped.

They’re now $50 

Actually bought 3 but the 3rd one’s just standard in shape.

Machining is excellent, but it’s steel and heavy.

Another maker, in France, but theirs don’t have trimmed tummies, albeit threaded as well in both 20 and 28 TPI.

That is nice but it kinda takes away from the 'stubby' factor.   

These stubbies are a huge waste of C02. If I were going to add length I would extend the barrel and regain some of that waste.

Does .22 Stubby waste more gas compared to his .177 sibling?

Yes.... .177 gets 45 ish and .22 gets 32 ish.  But, I cant remember is I did anything different with the hammer springs. As far as I know, they are both stock springs.

I think I need to break these guns down to verify what's in them before I post false numbers.
I know there was no porting and no speciaal valve work but you have raised my questions as to hammer springs and TPs.

With the power adjuster screw completely out of the gun Twisted Sister (.177) gave me 47 shots from 389 down to 309 with a 10.65 pellet.

Using the power adjuster I got 43 shots from 389 to 330 but I also got a flatter curve by increasing the hammer spring.
So, the advantage is not significant but it is there. Not that it really matters at 5 - 10 yds where I shoot these guns.

A lightweight alum 22xx cap from across the pond… It’s CNC, yes.

Cheap at $10 but shipping is $21 to the US

DJ might... fancy don't do much for me. These guns get stuck under seats, tossed on the dash, in the glove box and go for rides on the ATV and mower.
It's even hard to keep color on the zmack, as you can see.

Zamak doesn’t hold paint well but powdercoat really sticks to it like glue 👍

Having 2 of my Crosman grips done here in 2020 or '21 was over a hundred bucks 

Those furniture pens work much better than the weak Sharpie.

Yeah, I tried the paint markers too.... comes right off.
It's all good, they have character.

Are you using 22xx hammer springs?

The ones I have are a bit longer than the 13xx version but very soft you could easily pinch them.

I have no idea either if 2240 and 2250/2400KT springs are the same.

I have a few of the latter.

Yeah, pretty sure they are stock 2240 springs. Like I said, I think I need to tear these guns down and make sure I am reporting true facts.
I remembered that I have a few other 'lego' guns with the Challenger power adjusters in them and I may be confusing springs and TPs with what I put in those. Two of them are carbines converted from C02 to hpa. The power adjusters would have a much different affect on those guns.
Getting old does ugly things to your memory...

What do you use for holsters Bill? I would like to find a decent leather holster that fits well

I don't use any. Mainly because I use these guns with peeps, red dots and pistols scopes so they won't always fit in a holster. I have the cases like the one you see Willie G in that fits it all. On the mower the gun just lays on my lap and at the ready. Other times I just open the case and shoot from a bench, the seat of the atv or the hood of the truck.
Twisted Sister has gone with me to the fishing hole. I just wrap her in a rag and put her in the tackle box with some carts and pellets.

There's plenty of room to slide that brake further back. I think he's showing a carbine in the photo. A big reason I want a power adjuster is to use less CO2 with the stubby barrel, but that might take another three weeks to get here.
