Shoots very quiet, way quieter than the S510 anyway. Everything feels good about it. Heating up the garage so I can put it on the crony.
Shot it at a 50 yd target, not sure I was even on paper.
Still have to figure out this giant wheel thingie for the scope too. Looks functional, but...there's always the instructions I suppose. What are the two different sized half moon things too. Does anyone really use the sunshade or should I put it back in the box?
Scope is quite nice. I think after I play with it a bit I'll have to get one for the S510 too.
Streamline is 6.4lbs empty, 8.6lbs loaded and ready to fire.
Not sure I'm wild about the brushed finish as compared to a more traditional smooth finish. Other than that, very nice so far. Did take me a bit to figure out the mag loading, but it seems a lot more sturdy than the 510's is.

Looks nice once you get it dialed in post some targets I am interested in seeing some 25 and 50 yard groups. If it shoots well I may need to sell my RS II .22 and get me one of those

I didn't try the power settings, but I did try the recommended pellet: 25.39gr, and the 33.95gr.
Conditions are ambient room temp (thanks to a propane heater), indoors w/ a trap sitting on a trash can about 7-8 yds away. I am getting some debris blown back so this is probably not the safest thing I've ever done.
String length with a fill of 3ksi (same I used for the S510) is right at 40. I use steel Scuba tanks which are pressurized just a bit under 3.5ksi and I gave it a full fill when I was done, tomorrow will play some more. It's sitting right now at 225 bar on the gauge and I'll leave it there overnight.
I'm struggling with the crony though, sometimes I get a low one and think it's off the reg, but then I align the barrel a little better w/ the crony and it jumps back up. It's a garage with two 100w bulbs on a 8' ceiling with a few other bulbs scatters around the ceiling. If I don't get the crony positioned just right under the two 100w bulbs, it either doesn't read at all or gives an err. Just don't think it's the right crony for indoor applications.
The 25.39gr run right around 920. w/ a max of 934 and a min of 896, but like I said, I think the errors are the crony. Calculate fpe off 920 and you get 47.7.
The 33.95gr seem to run in 780ish range. Again, operator error seems to be showing, had a max of 814 and min of 770. If I keep the gun steady and don't let it move (pulls a tiny bit right on each shot if I do hands off) the numbers are very consistent, but then I realize I'm drifting off the crony, recenter and the ##s jump back up. There were quite a few in the 770-780 range early on, then later in the string after I centered it better they are all over 800. Meh, I'm chalking it up to operator error. But if the 814 is a good number, that's 49.9 fpe.
I am on the bullseye and it's putting one pellet after another in the same hole. If I go hands off and let it drift it's cutting the target in half. This is likely going to change when I get it outside and can actually range it. Plus I have new rings coming which are a little taller. meh
It's a full size gun measuring 42 5/8" tip to tail. WAY shorter than my .308 hunting rifle, but longer than the S510 Carbine.
Bottom line impression after 2hrs: I LIKE it!
Plusses so far:
Attractive,
beautiful stock,
light weight,
crisp 2 stage trigger,
clean and positive action,
full sweep gauge (already have my guy at AGD looking for one so I can replace the S510's with this one,)
magazine works well and I like that it lets you know when the gun is empty, but...(see negs,)
Nice positive feel on the safety and well positioned out of the way,
Power wheel is very positive w/ detents (though honestly, I haven't really tried anything but full power yet,)
Fill valve is different than the S510, but works a little easier,
Even w/o the moderator, it's quieter than the S510
wicked scope (compared to the one on the s510) MUCH nicer item, I think I'll have to get another for the S510
Negatives:
Not sure I care for the brushed finish, but it's well done,
dovetail is kind of short (more rings are coming which should help here,)
no barrel band and it moves around quite a bit if you touch it especially compared to the S510 which is really rigid. Sort of makes me worry about damaging it,
Not really sure I care for loading pellets in the mag. I actually had to read the instructions to figure this one out. Hand it off to someone and I'm certainly going to have to show them how, likely a couple times. It does work well, see positives.
The moderators are just empty cans. Are these really supposed to do anything?

You may want to try LED lights or wait until you can get outside with that chrony. Light bulbs do a have a 60hz flicker, and can throw off a chrony fwiw
I think it is a fine looking gun though!

Doesn't the 'crack' come from going in and out of being supersonic?
Not likely. I seriously doubt pellet muzzle velocity would hit or exceed ~1,060 fps. In spite of most pellet guns' shooting well under the sound barrier, most higher powered guns have quite a crack from the muzzle blast, unless there is a shroud or sound moderator of some kind. The higher the pressure behind the pellet, the louder the muzzle crack.

Well, I thought y'all would like an update now that I've been thru about a tin of pellets.
I've had a very bad week. Wifey got rear ended by some dingaling doing 100mph while txting. Wifey is still recovering from the motorcycle accident we had earlier in the year where in Oct she ended up with fusion surgery of C5/6. Really didn't need to get hit right now.
Fortunately she was in my 8500lb F350 and dingaling was in some little toyota pos car. Car definately totaled, my truck may be (if the frame is bent, it's goodbye.)
Geico is the at fault driver's insurance and they are totally screwing us already.
Needless to say, I needed a stress reliever.
Out came the FX and S510 about mid afternoon here in Sunny South Carolina ~70° today. January?
?
These aren't really comparable guns, but since they are the only two airguns I have, I guess it'll have to do.
Some things I've noticed about the FX. It makes a dinging noise when it's coming off the regulator. Very noticeable when you are done shooting. Not sure if this is an aberration or not, but I kinda like it. Especially since I only have one mag, keeping track of how many reloads and looking at the gauge is just not needed. When it dings, it's done.
Loading the mag is kind of a back butt wards operation which you clearly have to read the instructions for, but after I've done it now 30 times, it's not so bad and it does work and the pellet doesn't fall out the way the S510's does.
It is quite accurate. At 25yds, at 50yds or slapping the resettable crow and rat. The S510 is quite accurate too, but the FX is a tad bit better. The FX also has about 50fps more speed so maybe when I get the S510 finish tuned it'll be the same. Doubt it with the length of the barrel difference though.
Holding them, the S510 feels better, not much, but it feels a little more comfortable. Maybe just b/c I've shot it more, but that's my impression today.
Both guns are very quiet. Their sound is quite a bit less than the ringing of the trap. I would say they are comparable, with neither being particularly louder than the other. No moderators on either.
The FX's scope is going back for refund. If I get my eye relief in full picture, there's still some room for misalignment, well the cross hairs will move as you move your eye around the sight picture. Maybe I'm not explaining this well, but I've never seen a scope do this. With a little practice I can overcome this issue, but I don't think I should have to on a $450 scope. The illuminated reticle is quite nice for shooting at dusk. Nice feature. The Hawke Sidewinder's focus wheel is nice. Going to have to figure that out for the incoming Athlons (see below.)
The S510's scope is all over the map. Get it dialed for 50yds and it's dead nutz for this session. But next time I take it out it'll be way off again. No clue what's causing this. I do not think it's in the gun, once it's re-zeroed it stays, until the next time I take it out, then it's wonky again.
Solving this problem with a pair of Athlon Argos, one mil, one moa. The mil was an ordering error, but I think I'm going to keep it and figure out which I like best.
So that's about it for today. Finished my crappy week up with a little fun. Wifey is home and we are headed out for Sushi. See y'all...

Looks pretty good to me on the groups. They'll get better once you get the scope situation fixed and get more used to the gun I'm sure. How are you storing your S510? These air rifles can be funny if stored leaning rather than in a case/rack etc.. Just a guess?

Hi All , I have the FX Streamline in.25 cal ( synthetic model) and have purchased an LCD from Mike Tiehen at TKO Airguns. He made one especially for the streamline cause of the short thread on the end of the barrel. Cost was $92 shipped and the quality is outstanding.! It really takes the crack out of the shot. Mike is very accommodating, you won't be disappointed ! I have shot 200 + pellets and the accuracy is outstanding at 25 yards! Groups get a little bigger at 50 ( quarter size to 50 cent piece) ,but very good for hunting. The power is unbelievable on squirrels at 25 yards, goes through em'. Good shooting to all!! Fishnmission

I also want one, but not sure if I need the .25, a .22 has killed everything I want so far
Also, not sure of the .25 pellet supply, I think better selection to be found in .22
