Pumped up the Daisy 880 2 pumps. Fires fine. Any more than that, gun won't fire, & it holds on to the pressure. Disassemble all but the pump. The gun fires but all the air goes out the back end, instead of the muzzle. Seals maybe?

Another inspection; (w/gun disassembled except for pump assy) pump up to 3x & trigger clicks & fires as it should. Pump 4 to 10x trigger clicks (no air from pump exits the gun), trigger travels & full pressure from pump releases out the back with trigger forced at full travel. Please note; working on Stonykills trigger mod. Works great without pressurizing the pump & up to 3 pumps. I am sure I screwed something up on the mod or reassembly.

  Sounds like you need more spring pressure. You probably removed a little too much material from the trigger, and when that happens, you need to increase the spring pressure to get the valve to release. Disassembled, you should be able to pull the valve up, and release that pressure.

Pressure does release each time I dry fire (out the back) so pressure won't be an issue (knock on wood). I will try increasing spring pressure with a couple of needle nose pliers, or any tips?

Before you stretch that spring out, which is only a short term solution, fill 1/2 of the inside of the spring with something firm, but flexable. IE, felt, wadded up duct tape, that kind of thing. It may take a few try's to get it right, but if it fixes it, head to the hardware store, and find a stiffer spring. Stretching it, won't hold for long at all.

Spring tension & removed too much material was correct. I figured since I ruined both trigger & hammer may as well whittle away at both. Much to my surprise it worked. Held very well under tension & fired nice. However, once I get the replacement spring I'll bevel just a wee bit more. Sure doesn't take much...

All I can say about that spring tension mod, your brain must be working overtime...heckofa jerry rig!

 Looks good and thanks for the good pics. You mistake was crowning and polishing the trigger too much, and possibly too much material removed on the top surface of the hammer while polishing. EXTREME care needs to be taken in these two area's. It doesn't take much to screw it up.

   On the tape in the spring. Just came to me one day out of frustration. One of my .22 880's 2 years later, still has the temp fix in it.

Should have taken your advise from another thread I read; bad idea to start nipping away at too many parts.

Changes the geometry & unless your a genius & know how to compensate by additional mods to all other parts the gun is shot. Just too many strange things start to happen. Ordered another trigger assembly & will start from scratch.

Strangest thing...never thought I would ever spend this much time & effort on a Daisy, but I think this one is worth while. Sweet little gun to shoot, doesn't beat you to death, & @ $5/$6 bucks a 500 count, I'm sold.
