Does the front sight shadow in the scope or do you not notice it at all?
Yep those things will shoot real good,Here are a couple of pics of the groups I tested out of one of mine. They can shoot much better than I can. On a non windy day, my brother and I were shooting my 50 yd range at 3/8" washers hanging from strings, we were hitting them every shot (JSB 7.33). Then a puff of wind would come along, you could watch the pellet veer off course...lol 5 shot groups, http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/a599/jason_garvin1/05-17-13%20168_zpsss9rpehb.jpghttp://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/a599/jason_garvin1/05-17-13%20178_zpsq8o2nwmf.jpgJason Garvin
Nice gun scope and shooting! Planning on getting the same leupold scope, what do you think about it? Is it enough for 50+ yards shooting?
Yes on the scope. I couldn't find a scope that didn't cover most of the loading point causing great difficulties in loading.I got Clearidge 3-9x that was not only light but short!!! 11.5" FYI, using HNRifle Match Finale pellets, I have shot 5 shot groups at 50' that are not even an oval hole. Looks like a cheat job on my part but are real! I was also surprised at the good results at long range (50yd). The muzzle velocity with as 8.18gr flat point pellet (HN Rifle Match Finale) is about 565f/s. I have shot a couple chipmunks at 22yds with good results for me - not the chipmunks. Long ago, we shot beer cans at 30yd with a 300S with excellent results. A question, are you using a round nose or point-end pellet? That may help explain with longer range results.Cheers
