That is how I hunt as well, we are allowed 5 cottontails per day here in Cali, so if I have 12-14 shots I am more than good to go.
The most cottontails rabbits I have shot in one day was 2...lol
I can always go back to the vehicle and refill the gun and stock up on ammo.

I know,airguns are a big money-sucking hole,i am not able to keep things in the out of the box state,but this is a hobby.

Kept mine kind of simple...at least mostly so.  Is an LW barrel in there and a shroud extension, but that's about it for aftermarket changes.

Can adapt the plastic stock several ways.  I just used a shaped/painted wooden dowel, two short lengths of 1/4" Al. rod, and blind holes to end up with a cheek that actually cheeks.

Cut a 12gr. cloth/elastic shell carrier to two pockets...sewed the bottom end closed...and carry 2 mags on the stock/ one mag on the breech.

What type of shot count are you guys getting with the Prod?

After getting a free-flight hammer and doing some adjusting, I am getting 25-30 accurate shots per fill starting at 2,700psi.  These strings start at 18fpe and dwindle to about 14-15fpe before point of impact starts to fall.  Out of the box, the PRod was getting 14fpe with a 2,900psi fill and I only got 16-20 accurate shots per fill.  This performance is with JSB Jumbos and H&N Baracuda Hunters.

Should double the air volume...so whatever your shot count now, would double that.  For a pump filler, would also double the effort to fill it.

OR you could use the "extra" air for more power at the same shot count as a single tube.

I just installed a double tube kit on my Prod today, I am gonna be really busy the though the end of the year. So I photographed and posted under AirGun Labs today and placed it in the safe. I will pull it out of the safe and get you a weight with RIA stock on it. basically it is about 7oz heavier than before adding the double tube in Alum. I bought for high power and more shot count.

I have had one of Lloyd's double tubes for a couple of years.  I have had a Prod top end and as seen here a 1720T top end on it.



I have the steel tube which has slightly more air volume than the alum one.  The exact weight adder can be found on his website, but it is not significant (less than a lb).  In fact, if you are going with 20 or more fpe, it makes it easier to control freehand than the very light stock prod.

It will indeed double your existing shot count.

My 1720t weights 6.5 lbs with a (1.5 lbs scope), double tube kit and RAI stock attached.   
So 5 lbs without my scope attached.
