I don't think you guys, or most of you, realize how lucky you are. For me to shoot outdoors, I have to go to my local rifle range. Nothing like sharing the bench with a belted magnum booming away, catching the deflected blast. But it's better than nothing. And the range is downright anal about plinking targets. I once arrived with two or three aluminum cans and a length of twine. Was going to tie them into a loose "Y" and toss them onto the base of the berm. Shooting cans but not allowing them to bounce all over the place. Was told that was a no-no. Targets or clay pigeons, only. Gone are the days of potting rats in the dump or shooting up the rock quarry. Long gone.
