Take it easy Trinh... As a part time cyclist who has seen too many acquaintances run over and killed... this is a bit sensitive issue. I understand the annoyance that big groups of cyclist cause, but still....

Jim, it was meant as a joke primarily for those who hasn't been to Jesse. As the fall season comes, I am pretty sure it would be packed more than the last time I was there. Figured, I would make it a warning to those coming up.

Glenn, worst case scenario. You are welcome to come stay at my place. I have couple of rooms that are not being used. However on Sat., my family usually go out for dinner and don't come back till 9-10pm.

I checked into the cabin link and from what I could tell most, if not all, require a 2 night minimum stay so I'll probably go the hotel route. If I have to I might find something a bit South of Jesse and just leave from there. Of course I still don't have a job yet so we'll have to see how this all pans out. At least I got my car back from the shop so that helps.

Thanks for the invitation. As I'm looking at dates I just realized I have a conference I'd like to attend the 7th and 8th in Spartenburg, SC and if I can swing that I'll actually be coming to the shoot from the northeast.

Glen, you're making this too complicated, lol!  I'm just messing with you of course :D  If we have a turnout like last time, its going to be a good time.

I'm anxious to see Trinh's new gun, and the Condor-ish that Jesse has built.  Maybe Norman will bring the Galatian too.  I think that gun is going to be a heck of a shooter.  There were so many cool guns to play with last time for sure.  My favorite part is seeing all the stuff everyone else brings.

It's funny how stuff comes back to you. So this is a church denominational regional meeting and they happen about 3 times a year or so. The last one was in Douglasville, GA and when it finished I had my brand new Gladius in the car and drove all the way across town to Lithonia to meet up with Norman and Donny to shoot. But we spent more time waiting on the rain to stop than shooting so I eventually left. Norman said that right after I left the rain quit and the two of them shot for hours. I guess I'm finding a way to tie these church meetings in with shooting w/friends. Funny how the dates just work out like that.

So its a battle between Turkish, U.S., and British guns.  I think we should make it a little more interesting. Best shooter wins a can of pellet. Everyone who competes chipped in for one can. :). Thats what we used to do when we play tennis (winner gets a can of balls).

I only have one can of pellets. :) But I wouldn't compete anyway. I need to spend more time tweaking.

This pretty much is just for fun, and instead of pellets as the prize how about one of my spinner targets.

I think we need to open the friendly competition to everybody and have two classes a short range and and a long range change. I have target stands at 25', 35',and 50' for the short range and long range targets at 80',100', and 150'. The challenge will be to hit all the spinners at each stand, a miss will get you one point the person with the fewest points in the end wins. What do y'all think

That sounds like fun to me.  I don't want the spinner, but I'll shoot in the "competition".  My targets have to be quiet where I live, and the ranges I have are too close to make it a challenge....  Not that it matters, because I probably won't win, but I'll have good excuse when I miss.  "The wind gusted just then when I shot", haha.

I'm in the market for a tank. What are we talking? How big? How old? How much? Does it come w/fittings?

I got a few of those high visibility splatter type targets I can donate to the cause. They're a bit bigger than the ones Norman uses.

Hey Jesse what's going to be the closest town, let's say no more than an hour away, coming from Spartenburg, SC with a good hotel selection? Is Gainesville about the biggest town up there? I've not been to that part of the state much at all. I've been to a resort at Demorest twice and that's it. I'll be leaving Spartenburg after lunch so I'll end up around there probably mid afternoon. I have a good friend that lives in Tiger, GA and I might swing by and hang out w/him on Saturday if he's up for it. Maybe I could crash there too.

I would try Cleveland or Cornelia, both are on the way form Spartanburg. Cleveland will be the best because it is only 20 mins from the field but you will need to book early because it is vary close to Hellen. Cornelia is about 50mins from me but I don't know what the hotels look like there.
