2700 psi to 1800 works best for mine. At 45-48fpe. Have fun throwing lead! And yeah TP's not so good lol.

Mine likes 2900-1800 psi. Get about 25 shots around 47-49 fpe. i thought about opening up my transfer port but i dont feel like retuning my gun. its a lot of pumping.

Well,
There's a chance that the 89 fpe was for real. TP sleeve was definitely leaking. It leaked so bad at 3000 psi that I got 808 fps with 43 Eujins and rapid fire air release all the way down to 1300 PSI.
Darn.....
Well,
Gonna have to come up with a better way to seal it there. Straight sleeve made from teflon rod was a big flop at that power level and thin wall thickness and the soft plastic I have been using is just not seal-able and strong enough either (little better).
Gotta try to find a way to do it with orings and metal sleeve.

I have one made from acetal that came with my gun from caniborrowsomeammo that has been working perfect at high fpe
I also had one of those from Hill that I sold with my WAR valve and works very nicely as well.

Shorty I know you dont want to spend the money. But Hill's 3/16 HFTP fits perfectly in mine. The ones you sent me blew apart like you said. I just ordered 3 more from Hill.

Almost there I hope. Made a new TP sleeve from a sacrificial craftsman torx head screw driver handle (boy I am such a hack job).
Now I know how that rapid fire is working. The seal between the breech and the pressure tube it good. It's the seal between the pressure tube and the valve that allows the HPA to travel down the valve in between the valve and the pressure tube directly into the hammer.
I guess the only true fix is to pull that valve out and sink down the flat on the valve a bit more so that a press fit TP sleeve will not intersect a seal between the valve and the pressure tube.
Maybe I will do that but I really don't want to pull it all apart again. I truly hope that harder plastic transfer sleeve holds up as is.
Charged to 2500/2600 and got 3 off with no leaks yet. 889,885,885 with 43.2 Eujins.

Almost there.
Charged to 2700/2800 and set the HS to 2.5/3 and just hit 920 fps with 43.2 Eujins for 81 FPE.
Still need to go to 3000 psi but, I think I am going to stop there on pushing the power. I am still nervous about the new TP sleeve.
Tone of the gun got much more quite with no leaks now.
Gonna have to run some strings and get a scope on it to actually begin enjoying this new toy. What a hammer. You guys weren't kidding about this hard hitting .25.

It's almost time for 4th of July barbecue but since the TP is sealing so nicely I tried a low power tune.
2550psi to 2250psi (just a hair over 2500psi - pump gauge and gun gauge).
3 shots to dial in the FPS to 740/845/760
Settled into 760 for 35 fpe.
Shot the remainder 5 shots, reloaded the mag and fired off the 8 shot mag.
Total of 16 shots at 35 FPE using 27.5 grain H&N barracuda hunters for an efficiency of 1.78. Very very quite now.
Looking good now. My dual wire hammer spring and HS cap threaded through and through is a blessing for this gun. I always wanted to know how it worked on a 25 and yes I have given a bunch out and had some really good reviews on high power but there's nothing like seeing it do what it was designed to do.
With just the turn of the 1/4 HS adjuster, this gun can be tuned for a really high efficiency low pressure tune and with 3 or 4 turns on the 1/4 HS adjuster, it will shoot over 80 FPE and still an unknown max.
Awesome and I am happy.
I also mounted a dusty old gamo scope on the gun just to see accuracy at 10 yards (I know-crappy scope and gamo no less). Nearly one holers at 10 yards with the H&N's.

Makes sense now that the TP was causing the loud noise. And yes these guns can be hammers when done up I love mine. Glad to see it's working out for you

Figured there may be some that say never happened and can't happen. Just under 3000 psi and 3 or 4 on the HS for max and a low power shot at 0 or negative 1. Can't tell HS adjustment at 0 because I have my HS adjuster tapped through and through for low power tunes.

Aceflyer,
You have no idea how I wish this could have happen with you gun when I did your valve. You know, your the reason I pressed for a B-day and fathers day gift for this 25.
That cabellas deal was being said every day after I did your valve.
Nothing like an 80+fpe 25 Mrod for under 400 bucks.
Almost forgot,
Thanks.
Rsterne is modding a "stock" valve. Can't wait to hear what he gets. I hope I get close to his.

Finished my retractable probe bolt, however I also had some TP issues after installing new bolt. Have been using delrin. So machined up a brass version and sanded down some over sized o-rings to suit my 8mm od, just an over sized factory style now. Just hit 924fps with the 54gn bullets (102 fpe) peaking at 2200psi, so need more spring. Not a true back to back test of the bolts but definitely an improvement.

I've cast my own from moulds made here in Australia.
Just for giggles I wound the spring right in and filled to 3000psi. 1032fps!! but then dropped on every following shot, so I have found my upper limit. Thats 127fpe with my own valve. My WAR valve from Dairyboy turned up yesterday, but I don't think I need it now. Happy camper here.
Once I get some consistency, I'll put the factory bolt back in and do a real comparison.
And do some accuracy testing.

I have a W.A.R valve coming I picked up on the yellow classifieds, I also have the SSG installed. What do you think of using the duel spring with the SSG? will it fit ? help? or hurt power output?
I have a spare Hammer and can go back to stock set up as well, looking to beef up the power for 100 yard shooting or possibly going to a .30 cal. conversion.
I am not as concerned with air consumption as I was when I had to use a pump, have a 4500 tank now. Current tune I am getting 24 good shots with jsb 25gr

I think I have found the balance between power and shot count with my last tune. I have put a lot of pellets over the chrony the past few weeks Some with Shorty's spring and some with the W.A R. valve.
If you want to be able to go back and forth between High and low tune with just turning one adjustment, Shorty's spring is the way to go, and save yourself some $$$
Thanks for your help and the spring Shorty, I am finally calling it done.
if your ever really done.
I decided to keep the W.A.R. valve with the W.A.R SSG I also did the F.A.M.E mod you can read about posted by Triggertreat. I figured if I want to go lower power and higher shot count I will use one of my .22's
My last string of 15 shots, average 897 FPS, SD of 4.38 and hitting with 60.5 ft lbs. shooting JSB Heavy Mkll.

Today I was able to shoot at 50 yards, the MKll's gave me my best accuracy, ragged hole. Hopefully soon I will get it out to 75 and 100 yards and see how much it opens up.
The Eujin did not group well at distance, but were not to bad at 20-25 yards.
