C9 won't pump

I found a transitional year C9,  and the tin of pellets purchased with it by the first owner.  Only 153 pellets were missing.  I oiled it and it shot like new for 500 rounds.  Then occasionally, the pump would push back at me on the first stroke and the gun would refuse to take air.  If I fired it, it might go 30 rounds before doing it again, the 20, then 10, then 0.  So the valve didn't fail all at once.  Makes me think some gunk was floating around and settled in a bad place.  The pump seal looks good and the tube is clean.  I tried to dis-assemble the gun but couldn't remove the rear plug and trigger assembly.  The video of the 392 doesn't help with the C9A.  Any help out there?

By plug do you mean the part that contains the hammer spring ? Or the gave on the inside ?
Cause you probably need a valve tool.

FLUSH it out with ND 30wt.
I mean FLUSH IT,  like maybe an Oz. of oil
Oil it, (a lot), pump and dry fire, REPETE!
And maybe let it sit for a bit at right side up then wrong side up.

Sounds kinda like it might not be dumping all the air when the trigger is pulled and pumping for subsequent shots, which if they take extra effort, builds excess pressure causing valve lock, making it "refuse to take air".

  This does sound like its retaining air after each shot. If it builds up to a point it locks, you can remove the hammer and spring, place a metal rod down the tube to contact the stem of the outlet valve, then rap it a few times with a hammer just hard enough to release the air.  Of course make sure its not loaded. If this works to release trapped air, then increasing hammer spring strength is the easiest fix.

Yes, it was the intake valve.  The transitional streak has requires a valve tool. Before the breach plug comes out the trigger spring assembly, and the trigger assembly must come off to reveal  a third screw.  Thanks

I'm having the same problem (won't pump up) with my Blue Streak. Ignorant question--WHERE to you add the oil???

With arm full open drop a couple on piston cup, half of cup should be visible with arm extended. A drop on the other end of the piston where the link from pump arm connects. Drop a drop on the link from piston that connects to arm. Close arm and drop some where the roll pin is.
