New Jäger .35 XP arrived

My RL-AG  box came yesturday with my new Jäger .35 XP
 
First impressions gracious this thing is light! Just over 6lbs. Also comes with a nice detailed Owners Manual & O-Ring kit!

Russian walnut Stock w/checkering is top notch along with finish on Barrel / Action. Very compact precision rifle with built in factory moderator & exposed adjustible hammer bolt. Screw off the pressure gauge bezel cap to access fill receiver on end of air tube(1.5"O.D.). 

Manual states the .35 is unregulated, has unchoked LW barrel and can shoot .35 pellets or cast bullets(Single shot tray length is 18mm). Rated for 160ft lbs max w/80g pellet or 221ft lbs max w/131-146g solid bullet. The .35 Jager is so new Mags were not available at intro but (1) is included with purchase.   

I think Randy did some tweaking on this .35 found the sweet spot for the hammer adjustment(see target fps[w/JSBs] test sample pic).  I'll get my 50mm scope mounted and site it in this weekend.

Despite winter blast last weekend i managed to get the Jäger .35 XP out. Shot about 36 rounds refilling after every dozen shots on my 30 yard range. The rifle is light even at rest its a challenge to shoot with 20/30 mph wind gusts. Despite weather i managed to site in my 50mm scope and quickly realized this Russian is capable of shooting nickel sized groups(JSBs) under the right conditions.
Observations:
-Filling can be tricky takes alot of tank pressure to get the rifle tube tank slow but steadily filled. Using a big 4350 scuba tank(topped off).   
-The Jägers action has no slop, very precision side lever mechanism. Trigger weight is a little heavy, can't wait to play with trigger adjustments.
-Warning this rifle will wake up the neighbors even with factory moderator, little louder that my stock RS2.About same report as stock  JKHan. I plan on exploring my options on adding more baffling.
-Power, this rifle packs a punch. This my first PCP that shoots through(JSBs) small disposable Grill Propane Tanks!
-My 30 yard trap back-stop is made from stacked 4x4s thats going need beefing up soon.LOL
