That 90 ci will be a good tank for say taking out hunting to top your guns off. But say, a 100 cubic ft 4500 psi tank will set you back about $700 for a omega. I'm just getting into it myself. I bought a scuba tank from a friend that only holds 3000 psi, but my plans was just for my disco that only takes 2200 psi fill pressure. Now I own a bt65 carnivore and a condor and they both have a fill pressure of 3000 psi. So, ive been pricing c.f. tanks. This is getting to be a expensive hobby, but when you start getting into bigger bore rifles, it gets expensive rather quick.

There are some great deals on ebay for tanks with 2008 born dates ($150-300).  That will give you until 2024 before it's out of life cycle.  And you can find fill assemblies for $130-150. Hydro testing is about $30 every five years and I get my tanks filled for $1.50 per 1000 psi.  I usually get them topped off at 3000 psi so it costs be under $2.00 at the paintball shop.  They have 4500 psi tanks and compressors but real world it get to about 4200 psi when the air cool down.  Here is the video that got me started.  If you notice I ask a lot of noob questions so if you are unsure, ask.  We've all been there.

Yeah Norm, they're bullets for sure. RJ Porter 70 gr hp. From talking to Doug, I'm going to have to change out the valve and higher psi tank. Pcp tunes has a 250 bar cylinder and a valve, hammer and spring. But it's going to be a work in progress. I know it's extremely loud and not back yard friendly at all.

There's a lot of work that goes into making those 257 cal monsters.  Doug did a lot of the machine work for Cedric's 257 cal.  You can watch some of the videos on his (Cedric-Tofazfou) youtube site to see how it progressed into the present day terror for coyotes and ground squirrels.

Black Diesel,

I know and I was just kidding about the Sumatra.  You have only been kind to me in my search.  I would like to come out and see all the different kinds of guns you all have.  It would be fun.

Speaking of shooting guns, when is the next window opening?  I'm open the next two weekends, but I will be working at the track on the weekend of the 16th...  I'm needing a little shooting therapy :D

I think I will be out of town again from April 5-8th. Otherwise my schedule is pretty flexible.  I went there today just to see if it was still clear and it is.  The only debris in the area we park is a few sticks.

I would love to meet up with you good folk if I am in town when the next one occurs. I do travel a lot, and do a lot of hunting on the weekends during season, but thats over now for this year and my weekends should be more free.

Thanks for the info on the tanks Norm. Cedric's YouTube Channel is what got me wanting a .257, it wasn't till I bought one and and started emailing Doug, that I realized just bought myself a expensive habit, because I'm not going to be happy till it's shooting 1000+ fps with 74 gr bullets. Which is going to require a higher fill bottle, valve and hammer and spring from Doug and probably a longer barrel, 28" is max I want to go. I would love to shoot a Sumatra, I've been eyeballing a 357 actuallt, but I need to get my other 2 guns shooting and a why to keep them supplied with air. I'll checked out eBay and see what kind of deals I can come across. I have a dive shop that does my fills for $3 since I'm not completely emptying my tanks. That can do to 5k fills it he said so. And hydro is cheap, I had to have my tank hydroed and it was like $30 like you said.

You want to try and shoot on the 2nd or 3rd?  Did you ever give that "buffer" a try on your .25 AT-44?

Man I haven't had a chance to do anything but work and do a little with the kids.  My annual performance rating period ends this Friday so I will be able to breath a little then. Sundays are better for me because my Saturdays are normally full.  So right now the 3rd looks Ok.

Okay, cool.  Let's shoot for the 3rd, and see if we can make it happen then.  My trigger finger is getting itchy, and random things in the yard are starting to resemble tree rats and targets, lol!

It was great shooting PCP's for the first time with this group. For most of us in the entry level arena the choices come down to a Marauder platform or a Hatsan AT44 platform. Both are there and you get to experience the pros and cons of each. You have to put aside the personal choices and adjustments the gun owner imparts on the platform like scope choices, trigger pull weight, etc. Those can be set up to your personal liking once you have your own gun.

I won't be able to make it on the 3rd of April as we booked a mini vacation down in New Orleans. Haven't been back there in over 15 years.

Was Gabe and JC copied in the message about this post?  I will text them to make sure they know about this and see if they want to come out on the 3rd.

I don't remember if they were or not?  I know I'm about to tear my gun down this week though, lol!  I'm going to give it a proper cleaning, yes, even pulling the barrel  :o  I'm going to check, and see if I can make some slight accuracy improvements, at least in consistency.  I think we need to set up some bottle caps at the 90+ yard mark...

Donny , I finally saw the beaver . Actually my son saw it on the other side of river and pointed out .  I watched it as it swam across towards my side of the river so I tried to sneak up for pictures. However he saw me as I poke my head up and made a big splash .  He must be at least 35-40 pounds.
