Bought 1 refurb from AGD a couple years ago. Stock was a little beat up, but it shot OK.

I've bought several refurbs.
A Crosman 1377 that looked like new and was very accurate.
A Colt Defender BB pistol, looked new and is pretty accurate, for a BB gun.
An RWS 850 Airmagnum in .22 that is a one hole tack driver. It had the bolt handle poking through the box and scuffed up when it arrived, otherwise looked brand new.
My only bad refurb, a Crosman C11 that shoots high and left, I was lucky to keep 10 shots on an 8 inch target. It does make a great paperweight though, keeps loose targets from blowing away. I paid $18, and only added it to get free shipping on a larger order.

update as of 3/23/16 Finally got the the shipped back to them today.

I Got this from field supply and its still sitting in my office. I want the shipping info to return the damaged air gun. Trying to get someone to respond to me is getting aggravating. All responses when they do respond has been very friendly , and they assure me they will replace it but nothing is getting done. Its been in my office for 9 days.

I bought a refurb 1377 (PC77) a few years ago from AGD I believe. Better than the one I bought new and still is. Speedier.

I bought 2 CO2 BB refurb pistols from Midway and both were fine. I bought a refurb Diana 54 from AirGunDepot that kicked like a mule. The 54 is not supposed to do that. In talking to the rep from AGD I found out that they get their Diana refurbs from Umarex. I asked if AGD tested the air rifles that they sold and was told that they do not. AGD would not repair my rifle, I could send it back for a refund or keep it. I did research on the 54 and I found out what was wrong. The action was assembled into the stock without some washers. This caused the action to lock into the stock instead of sliding to negate the recoil. I called Umarex and was told that they do the refurbs there. I explained my problem and I was able to get them to send me the missing washers that I needed. My 54 shoots nicely now.

Umarex is one, but there are others. Sometimes a refunded or otherwise returned rifle gets looked at, sometimes they don't even get fired or checked to see if everything is there. They just figure 99% of them are minor issues, buyers remorse, or they didn't know how to shoot it. They also know many folks who get a bad one will just keep it, or not be able to evaluate it before the return period expires.

Well after almost a month wasting time I get a email saying they refunded me. I emailed asking about the exchange they kept saying would be sent out and the response was "we dont have anymore" . Im not happy about it but kinda expected it.
At least I got my money back.

I bought my Air Arms S510 .177 as a refurb from Pyramyd and it looked like NIB also never any trouble and she is a tack driver

I got one last year, model 95 Hatsan. Looked like it had never been fired. Hits hard and groups well after a couple tins. Was a real good deal.

Refurbs can be a heck of a deal. I've bought several of them and never got a lemon. In fact, they all looked just like new.
When you buy a refurb from a dealor with a good reputation, it can be even better, as your worries about the necessity that you might have to return it for some reason usually go away. PA refurbs might not be refurbs at all. Many guns that PA sells are guns that have been returned by the buyer during their 30 day no questions asked policy. Could be the first buyer couldn't handle the weight of the gun, or didn't have the strength to repeatedly cock it? Might even be buyer's remorse? Generally, PA discounts such guns by 15% from new price. You even get the 30 day return if you want to send it back, too! Want to be extra careful? Buy the PA "10 for $10" test, and you will at least know that it functioned well for 10 shots! If I have my choice, I'll take the chance and buy a refurb from PA before buying a new gun. Other dealers might similarly be reputable, but I know of no others who have the PA product guarantee.

I bought a refurb from midway about 6 months ago and to say it was junk would be a under statement. I got a chance to take it down yesterday and found metal pieces falling out of it and found the spring broke. I'm sure that explains why I could not hit a broad side of a barn with it. It must have shipped that way because it never was right from day one. Will never buy a refurb again.

I purchased a refurbished Umarex Browning Buckmark pellet pistol from Airgun Deopt and was pleased with the gun. I'd always wanted one of these because I have a .22 lr Buckmark, and this is an exact replica. Since the refurb was nearly half the price of a new one, I couldn't resist.

Jus gut one ... used not refirb Baker Airguns. Wish they checked it, bent barrel broke fiber on rear sight, pics taken down lickety split (thankfully after an hour of searching cache found the pics, missing "extras" but they shipped them). Price was right and its got the sweetest shot cycle of my hoard including the Daisy 880

not to mention a VERY nice trigger.

She's probably worth saving, faults and all I expect mine to be one of my favorites when it's turn comes up to get straightened out. Sorry for the pun...

Wish I had the denero to offer to take it off your hands but wife would kill me LOL, gotta say Ruger DOES answer their CS lines, maybe if you ask them they'll send you a spring and seal? "chicken soup"...

I ordered a new spring and seal with shipping it was around $20. So in the end the refurb was not the greatest deal now that I have to stick more money in to it. I was very disappointed because I have a MM tuned Xisco 25 in .22 that is a awesome gun. I know they are the same gun so I wanted to have a .177 also. Hopefully once I get it back together it will be a tack driver like my Xisco is.

I for one, would love to know how it turns out ... I keep reading this particular clone can be as good or better than the "legitimate" model. Surely the end price will be lower than that!
