I would like to get a Benjamin Franklin pump air rifle repaired. I have no idea who does this kind of work. Do y'all have any suggestions.

Parts are available from a few vendors here if you are ablento do the work yourself. Mac 1 and Baker airguns are a couple that have parts and they both can do the work for you.

A seal kit is available at Pyramyd and there are a couple of great YouTube videos on how to. Try it yourself.

I also do them. Turnaround time is usually faster than the average. Prices are competitive as well.

I think I am going to try to repair this one. It is a model 310, serial # H133868, Cal. BB.

If this is a flop I'll have to rely on someone else to do the model 317 that I have.

If it were me I would make my first attempt on the 310. If I failed I would let Scott or Rob do the 317. The 310 is a smooth bore rifle and I wouldn't want to tie a bunch of money up in it with a pro tune. Don't get me wrong, they are old school cool and I'd love to add one to my collection. I'm just saying, you'll be lucky to get satisfying groups with it. That's just my 2 cents.

Wow!! That's an old one Mule, 1959. Things are gonna not want to come out. Yea, that ones gonna give you some fits I'm sure. It could also go the other way because it's sooo old maybe it's been opened up and fixed couple times in its life. You will be able to tell by looking at the roll pins on the front of the rifle. Also the screw heads, look and see how fresh they are. Other than The Tool for the valve you will need a 3/16 roll pin punch. You can bang them out or if you have a drill press you can put that 3/16 punch or the back side of a 3/16 drill bit in the drill press and just push the roll pins right out. Now, those roll pins can and will be a pain if u are banking them out. I'm sure you will be ok though. Good luck and keep us posted

This guy does repairs in a little shop behind his home. He may be the closest repair facility to you (if that makes a difference.) He and his son do powder burner [shotgun and rifle] repairs full time. He, the dad, does the air rifles as the jobs come in. Maybe give him a call if you are interested.

I re sealed my 310 recently it's serial number H6520 1957. I ran some 30 wgt oil, and transmission fluid in it, and it came apart pretty easy. I was skeptical how the smooth bore would shoot, with modern pellets it surprisingly good, quarter size stuff easily out 25 yds. Another gun in my collection that is a brute of a pellet gun for it's size, goes through both sides of a coffee can no problem.

I never shoot steel bb's through mine, don't want the barrel eroded anymore than it already was. The 310 shoots .177 pellets perfectly, almost as good as my 317. I've shot a few .177 lead balls through it which are also good.
