Yep, that is for the pistol & stock . Pistol alone , is just under 4 lbs. Most all powerful spring/piston pistols I have seen are quite heavy. .177 in this one is a true 800fps. Some other brand names will claim 600 fps & you only get 450 - 500. I don't know,  but there may be some that are as powerful, that are lighter. If this was a very light pistol, I would think the " TWANG " would destroy it before long ! LOL

All the sites I have looked at list it at 700 fps.
 
And PA claims that the .22 version comes in at 450 fps. 150 fps slower than the listed 600 fps.

Still a cool looking setup though.

My Browning 800 .22 shoots JSB 18.13 grains @450 FPS and RWS hobbies at 600

I saw one of those Brownings in a pawn shop one time. If I'd have known they cost a hundred and fifty bucks Ida paid the $50 they were asking for it.

The hatsans are heavy and a bear to cock as well. 58lbs of cocking effort. I have the Model .25 spring piston in .22 and with the scope it weighs close to 5lbs.

58 POUNDS to cock it?!!
So I'd have to carry a two pound extension pipe to slip over the barrel for leverage, bringing the weight up to seven and a half pounds. And then I like a scope on a rifle/carbine, so a little over eight pounds.
That's not sounding like such a fun camping toy to me.

It could use another 6 inches for the cocking extension. Another thing about, is the anti recoil system, you can't place your hand on it to steady it when shooting on a bag because the whole top half of the gun slides back. I'm not to crazy about the target grips either. You want a workout this gun give it to ya.

When hunting with a pistol, I m using my marauder pistol (22) and recently a SPA PP700 (177)

I using a pistol scope on both of them, it’s a really challenging way to hunt even at close range

The marauder is use on small to medium pest at range between 15m to 30m
It work really well, plenty of power; 14 ft.-lbs (18.50 joules) and about 20 shot per fill, what is more that enough on regular hunting session

The SPA PP700 is a 177, it's running at 10 ft.-lbs (13.50 joules) with 25 shot per fill,
I will be using it on starling, pigeon, crow magpies and rabbit at close range

Both are PCP pistol, light and powerful enough to do the job

I try many spring or co2 pistol before, never find one good enough straight out of the box , I m not a really good handyman when it’s come to customise gun


For me PCP pistol is the solution, with a good rest , trey are deadly accurate
