I had a Savage rifle with holes for bases visibly out of line with the barrel. Turns out they drill the receiver then heat treat and sometimes there would be enough shift to twist the action. One well known company specialized in straightening the actions to correct that apparently common problem. If it can happen with a firearm, it can certainly happen with an airgun. I guess returning the product is always an option but that rifle shot sub-MOA groups and I preferred having the issue corrected to keep that accuracy. The Sportsmatch adjustable mount can correct such problems nicely and as noted it holds zero very well on a Diana 460 so probably will function with most any air rifle.
The description in that last link says 650-1200 fps, and 10-100 yards.... for both the airgun and firearm versions!.... Bob
