Decovered a SET BACK trigger that fits ALL Marauders ( Updated as to cost )

Just ordered one for myself. I reckon my low-end drill press and high end bits (lol) are up to the task. Maybe I should have ordered two.

 hate to bump this old thread back up to the top but some key things that maybe are common sense but I figured id through them out there.

 At first I drilled out the new set back trigger is was still way to tight...i used a 1/8" drill bit like i was told too. So I just grabbed some WD-40 and sprayed the inside of the trigger blade that helped out a lot.

 I dont know a different though

Hole still too tight .... roll up a small piece of 400 wet dry and put threw the hole, spin trigger round-n-round a few turns and hole will be a a tad larger and smoother.

 Still tite? what is 400 wet dry? im thinking sandpaper? any idea how large i need to go? Ill just buy another drill bit

Yes Wet / Dry sand paper.
If you used a .125" drill, then your within a few thousandths of getting free fit to the .125" pin.

Say ... what is the best way to make the enlargement? start with a dremel at .125 then finish with the 400 grit or start with a smaller bit to be safe?

1/8" brass rod and lapping compound. It will turn the brass rod into a precision file. Clean well and install.

Just saw these things are AL. The bit of wire needs to be softer than the stuff it is cutting so the grid imbeds in it and turns into a file. As Scott mentioned the amount of material removal is going to be small, so extreme care needs taken so as to keep the trigger from wobbling about. Proceed with caution. Look for 1100-series AL wire; that stuff is the next best thing to bubble gum. Copper will also do.

Also for the tool box, there are many kits of diamond abrasive on ebay in a wide variety of grits( like 12, 5cc syringes loaded with lapping compound all the way down to fractional micron size ).

Ummm...while that will work, it will drive the abrasive into the trigger...and then the trigger will continue lapping the pin it rides on.

Lol .. thus WHY my original statement of rolling  up a bit of  400 or so Wet/Dry and slip it into the hole and spin it around a few times ... works fine.
oddly most 1/8 drills near always take hole a tad oversize and resulting fit generally required little if any fitting after the fact.

Ah ... old thread and most if willing to do this great mod are wise enough to know how to fit it if need arises

I put the RAW trigger  blade on my .177 Gen 1 Marauder, and I just received a trigger for my .22 Gen 1.  Love this little hack.

This was actually the second mod I did to my Gen II when I first got it several years ago the first was the lawyer spring. Both mods will transform the Marauder trigger assembly grom good to great.
