The only flaw of my Hatsan 95 is the scope that came with it. I can't compensate for distances with the duplex reticle, im in need of mil dots.

-Warranty(prefer lifetime)
-Mil dots
-Doesnt get blurry like my stock scope?

If theres anything else i need to be looking at let me know.But thats all i can think of that i feel i need. Most of my shots will be under 15 yards.

If you want a good super clear hd mil dot scope take a good look at the hawke sport hd lineup

They are being replaced by the new vantage line which is supposed to be another step up from the sport hd but the sport had is a good scope for your requirements and in your price range
I have one on my tuned .22 disco and it works fantastic !!

E bay seems to have descent prices on them right now from what I've seen

I was looking at both Hawke and Leapers/UTG if I need to buy a new one and I already have a very nice one piece mount for the scope but it only takes a 1" tube. Somewhere I read one store say that if you're putting a Hawke scope on a springer to get the 30mm tube so that ruled out Hawkes for me. But if you don't have mounts yet then they would work for you. After hours and hours of searching, if I can't bag a good deal on a decent used/closeout scope, I will scrape the coins together and get this one

These have a superb reputation for toughness and just withing the past day or two here on GTA a shooter had one that was about 4 or 5 years old go bad and they sent him a brand new one for replacement. That's awesome customer service and warranty. If I'm buying a new scope I'm buying that kind of peace of mind.

This is also a scope I was checking out. I've found folks here that like them but I've read reviews on line that say they failed and to me it seemed to be about 50/50. You either got a good one or not. But for the money they are very attractive

Another one on my radar. I'm not sure how far out you can reach with a 4x32 scope. I don't think I'd want to push it beyond 40 yards just based on my own vision.

if 3-9x32 or 3-9x40 is enough .. the Hammers AO scopes are good. AO down to 10 yards (though bell turns past that). magnum springer rated as I recall. 50$ or 60$ depending on bell size you want.

I own both and have been happy with them.

Glen, you're right about that first link. The 2nd link you posted is the right scope, I have one mounted on my XS25 from Mike Melick. I missed the one on Ebay and paid about $35 more for mine, but mine also has IR which costs a little more but a nice feature. I also know because I own that scope that the AO goes down to 15 feet and will actually dial down a little less.
I'd also love to know which store is claiming you can only mount 30mm tubed scopes on springers. I own 5 Hawke scopes, all of them 1 inch tube, 3 mounted on gas rammed rifles, 1 mounted on a springer and 1 mounted on a .22LR Savage 64F and not a single one of them has ever given me a problem. At the very least, the Hawke Sport HD and Vantage lines are all air gun rated and made to take the double recoil of spring and gas ram air rifles.
I've also found from experience that reviews differ, they always do, and the easiest way to get my questions answered is to send an e-mail or call the 1-800 customer service number for whatever company makes the product I'm looking at, ask my questions and get answers straight from the maker. I've done it with Hawke any number of times asking about scopes and their free Chairgun Pro and Ballistcs Reticle Calculator software which are also pretty handy shooting tools.
The simple bottom line is you can get any number of quality, air gun rated scopes from any number of forum recommended makers whether it be UTG, Centerpoint, Hawke, Bushnell or Hammers to name a few and get them brand new and for $100 or less. And yes, it's 50/50 no matter what you buy, there's always a chance you'll get a bad one out of the box.

Centerpoint 4-16X40 IR at Wally World, $70. The only drawback, a little on the large size. Comes with Weaver rings.

With these scopes, is there any way to keep them from coming loose eventually? The scope that came with mine can only be finger tightened. And it came loose once.

I was looking at a Hammers scope, i was mil dot and variable zoom, but nobody seems to recommend them?

It being 50 bucks im really tempted.

The better 1 piece mounts and 2 piece ring sets generally come with allen head cap screws...just use a dab of blue loctite on all the screws when you put them on.

The Optima mount screws can also be loctited if you want and a flathead screwdriver if you're careful will help tighten the screws.

I some how overlooked the IR. I shoot at night a lot, so it will actually help me i hope. The black on gray def isnt easy to pickup with my stock scope, if it dosnt work i can always turn it off.

Nice choice, hopefully you bought dovetail rings, have a set or have a dovetail to weaver adapter...the weaver rings that come with the UTG won't fit the dovetail rail on the Mod 95.

They should, I just saw where the description said it came with weaver style rings and had the thought that they won't fit the dovetail...the UTG rings are better than the ones on the Optima but you can always pick up an adapter later on if you decide you want to use them, Amazon has one myself and a couple other members use made by Monstrum, $9.45...

Thanks. I called AGD to see if they could swap the pellets for the scope. It was already processing so they couldnt.
