Chinese Beeman SS2 4x21 Review

Recently picked up a Weihrauch 95 (Luxus .22) from Steve at Pomona Airguns. Steve was awesome and the gun is too. After the first 1000 rounds or so I decided I wanted to start shooting with a little glass on top.
I was on a budget and I wanted something compact. I love the look of the original Beeman SS2 but wasn't so keen on the prices for an original Japanese model. I found one of the new Chinese ones on ebay for about $70 plus shipping. After two weeks it came to my door!

Looks pretty
Looks pretty on the gun too. I love the flip-up dust caps
I
really
like this reticle
Sighted in within six shots or so (20 yards)
So far I feel that I have definitely got my money's worth. Construction is solid, and after about 250 shots it hasn't budged and stays true. I would bet this scope is going to stay accurate for a while. The Weihrauch is bone stock and shoots well with the scope. Optical performance is good though shows some traces of chromatic aberrations that would be typical for budget glass. Most importantly the sight picture is bright and quite usable even in dusky light. AO works great and reticle makes aiming easy, and looks cool to boot. Eye relief is very short--about two inches--but was comfortable for me. Seems like a copy of the the Barska 4x21, I would bet they came from the same factory (not a bad thing). I would definitely recommend this scope to anyone who is looking for some cheap, compact glass. I will post some groups once I get some more pellets downrange!

Thanks for the review; I'd like to read about continued observations as well.
