HW95 pellet experiment upside down

My new AOA HW95 22caliber has about 400 pellets through it now. So being rained out at work yesterday, I decided to really go deep on some pellet experimentation and here are the surprising results:
Hatsan Vortex Express 13.12: 681 high, 660avg, 30es @12.69fpe
HN FTT 14.66: 648 high, 640avg, 13.2es @13.33fpe
RWS Super HP 14.2: 714high, 710avg, 6es @15.89fpe
HN Terminator 16.36: 655high, 652avg, 8es @15.45fpe
Then I did some groups at 14 yds in my garage. Those results underscored the numbers. The RWS and terminators were one ragged hole groups. Vortex was worst at a nickel with one flier, and the FTT was a dime.
My conclusion is that this gun likes the plump girls in the class with longer skirts (I'm the opposite, at least the skirt part.
). I even spot-checked some barracuda's in 18.21gr, and 19.09gr and both were consistent and generating close to 16fpe.
I had the hatsan vortex's because I found them on clearance at SG and I had a ruger at the time that did well with them. I found more at Midway to add to my stockpile, but they sent them naked in a padded envelope.
Tins dented with some pellets disfigured, so no mystery there. Guess there's a reason that they're discontinued.
While I'm happy that I found the "Magic Bullet" in the RWS SHP, I am still
befuddled
by the FTT's performance in this gun since it's the pellet everyone says is supposed to do well. So much so that I repeated the strings in abbreviation just to be sure. Accurate enough, but dismal performer.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with pellet shapes/skirt thickness/weight with this or other 22 rifles? I did snake the barrel out of box (no brush), and gun never really dieseled.
Any input/insight is appreciated.
Edit: I should add that I compared the straight shooters site for numbers on the R9, and with the exception of the FTT, My results are about 3-4% higher velocity so the power plant appears healthy..
