We use muzzleloaders exclusively for whitetail in MN. The CVA is a good choice, I think you will be pleased...we just picked one up for the youngest brother for his graduation, and after shooting it we were all impressed. There are a lot of similarities to airguns, mostly the one shot and increased challenge. One thing that is not similar is the trajectories. With these modern muzzleloaders and high quality bullets, you can hunt at ranges that approach some center fire rifles. I highly recommend checking out Precision Rifle, they make the highest quality sabots for muzzleloading rifles that I have ever used. Take a look at the BC and longe range testing for his products and I think you'll be very impressed.Enjoy your new rifle!
