Trigger overtravel stop on 392PA ? Any reason not to install a stop?

On many of my cartridge forearms I have made and installed a trigger over travel stop. Simply a machined brass button behind the trigger, mounted inside the trigger guard, this stop prevents the over travel I don't like after the sear dis-engages as I pull the trigger. It gives me better control as I shoot.
With the 392PA package trigger mechanism, is there any reason I should NOT stop trigger movement the moment the sear lets go ? Is there a trigger "follow through" required to release all air stored for discharge?

Go for it if it makes you feel more comfortable. The valve is knocked open and I see no downside to a trigger stop as long as the hammer is released.

Excellent. When doing this on a rotating hammer fired firearm, a trigger stop adjusted too closely to "let off" can cause sometimes cause problems. Didn't know if this was an issue with an air rifle like the 392. I haven't ever disassemble my trigger pack on the 392 and wasn't sure. Thanks. Don.

It possibly could cause some wear if set to close. On the Crosman web site you can look at an exploded view of your rifle.

Looking at the exploded view is a very good idea. I'll check there first. Appreciate the help! I would have thought many owners would have installed a trigger overtravel stop. To me, it's a big thing on a firearm. Don.
